I set up a reservation for my parents 35th anniversary and they wanted to try something different so I recommended this restaurant. They loved the food but the service was horrible. They never served then their drinks and waited too long to receive their food. I should probably add that my parents are black so idk if that has anything to do with it. Very disappointed because I wanted my parents to have a great experience with service. Not going back there again.

Second time having the pleasure of dining with girls (birthday celebration) at Telly's in Port Chester. One gal in our party knew of Telly's other location. Both times, awesome service, delicious appetizers and cocktails. We ordered 3 different shared appetizers, then 4 different main course options and shared. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was knowledgeable and gracious. We will definitely return again. Thank you Telly's Taverna!

Delicious dinner! We were back in Greece :). Friendly service, food was authentic and everything so tasty. Triple dip perfection. Grilled octopus best we ever had. Spanikopita was authentic ... grandmother recipe.

Amazing! What a great find! Stopped in for dinner before the Peter Frampton show. Delish! Staff very friendly. Most important thing was it was a great date night with my husband. My #1. Luv u G.

The fish, the Fish, The FISH! The seafood is so good, you'll think you're in Greece... ...or even better, Astoria! (I grew up on Crescent St, and Telly's makes this eye-talian feel he never left)

We had dinner last night at this very nice looking restaurant. First let me say that the staff is friendly and attentive. The place is very clean and beautifully decorated. The food was pretty good, but unfortunately we all felt that it's ridiculously overpriced. For example, a fried calamari appetizer was $28 for a regular size plate. Steamed mussels $28. Neither one had much flavor or seasoning. I hate to complain because they were so nice but we probably won't be back, it's simply not worth the price.

Lovely restaurant, good service, great quality food. Good parking across the street. But in my opinion, some items quite overpriced. $24 for a plate of fried zucchini and eggplant, a single pepper and some cold potato. $18 for a delicious plate of gigante lima beans, but $18? What was the cost of the beans and the sauce, $3? The baked feta in phyllo with honey was delicious, and at $18 probably is just a bit more than I would have expected to pay but OK. Main courses were delicious and probably in-line with NY prices but definitely higher than what we'd pay for very good Greek food in Boston area. I know it's New York suburbs and the restaurant is huge and beautifully decorated, definitely high-end and rent is probably very high. And it was our choice to go there with my elderly mother, who doesn't get to enjoy Greek food very often. But still, $313 not including tip for 5 persons, including 1 drink each, 3 vegetarian appetizers split among the 5 of us, and 4 main courses as well as 2 sides, seemed high to me.

I’m so upset and so so saddened to the point I want to cry as I typethis review. I’m 44yrs oldfrom NYC, I’ve lived in Miami, Puerto Rico, Atlanta GA and I’ve literally have traveled allover the world I say this tosay that in all my year of travel and dining I’ve never in my lifehave felt so humiliated and discriminated against. Today my BF and I decided to try Telly’s Taverna in Portchester because he lives in the area and I was visiting. We walked in the hostess was super niceand the place is absolutely beautiful so I exited to try the food as I love everything Greek, the hostess let us now that it was happy hour but we could only sit at the bar for it so we said cool. As we walk in we noticed it was empty only a group of 3 people caucasian people were sitting at the bar (My BF and I are Latin POC) we proceeded to sit the bartender proceeded to throw the menus on the bar we didn’t think much of it we just thought he was a bit rushing. But as timewent on and we askedfor drinks and appetizers we noticed his attitude towards us but when he was dealing with his party of 3 his attitude and demeanor changed drastically in a pleasant way. I brought it to my BF attention and he told me not to let it ruin my evening, so I decided to ignore it. As our appetizer approaches I hand the bartender our menu to make room so he can place the mat on the bar and he snatches the menu from my hand at this point I’m too uncomfortable and want to say something but my BF ask me to just let it go, so I do. Our drinks come and my BF ask the bartender if he can mix his drink better the bartender proceeded to snatch the drink back up with an attitude and as he pours it back in the glass he did it in such a nasty way that the drink spilled. At this point Im completely livid. So we decided to just move to a table at we had already spend $124 on 2 shots, 1 appetizer, 4 happy hour drinks and 1 Spinach Pie (still in the process because it take 20minutes to cook). The sit us at the SMALLEST table they have and when I ask if we could sit at a booth they tell us they are fully booked which I found completely and absolutely comical as the restaurant was EMPTY at this point I’m shaking from how upsetting I was ready to cry because how is it 2023 and restaurants are still treating people in this manner?!My BF saw how upset I was and we decided to just leave one of the waitress try to ask what was wrong and if there was anything she can do to fix our situation but I was too disgusted to stay. Places like this should be ashamed of themselves as US THE MINORITY spend the most in this economy. I can honestly say this was my first time in my 44yrs to encounter and experience any type of racial discrimination and it absolutely sucked and it felt degrading. Management should really do something about how they treat everyone that spends their hard earned money at their establishments.JUST HORRIBLE!!!!

Chef doesn't know how to cook! Dandelions overly cooked, brown yellowish, no flavor, grilled octopus burnt (when protein is burnt, it stings) . Chef simply abused good raw materials and turned them to be trash.

The thing was, the food was good and the service was also good but when we walked in there was a dead octopus that they said was decoration and we were all very put off by that -- it felt kind of gross to have that poor intelligent creature splayed out there for decoration only. Otherwise it is fine, but we won't go back because of that.
