Been to El Patron many times over the last 4 years and it's always very good! The food is great and full of flavor and the drinks are always good! I ordered the El Patron burger and it was delicious we also ordered the mole enchiladas and they were really good also! I highly recommend trying the queso fundido, I promise you it will not disappoint! The prices are reasonable and food portions are big! The restaurant is nicely decorated and there is always really good Mexican music playing! Also the waiters are very attentive and really nice guys. If you're in the mood for a delicious Mexican meal at a fair price this is the place!! ***my table was not wobbly lol

This was a favorite place for me and my family until the last few dinners. The decor is beautifully done for the most part at a glance, but not at all cleaned or maintained. There are food stains on the walls, dirty dissheveled curtains on dirty windows, sun-melted plastic blinds hanging precariously in those dirty windows... and a smell of septic and rotting food and very poorly maintained restrooms. Perhaps closing one day a week for thorough cleaning would be in order. I hesitate to speculate on the state of cleanliness in the kitchen. Probably best not to ponder it. The food for the most part is consistent, but I have learned the hard way never to order beef in any form. They do not know the meaning of medium rare. Everything beef is well done, unchewable and tasteless, except perhaps, the ground beef in the gringo tacos, saved only by the heavy seasoning. The staff is friendly enough, until you request a certain table. This is standard accommodation in all decent eating establishments, but they insist on seating you where they choose. The tables and chairs are uniquely carved and the colorful accents are absolutely the focal point of the restaurant, but the tables are never level. The last time I was there, our table toggled at least 4 inches. We got up and moved to another, after testing several for the same issue. The prices seem to be consistent and reasonable. There are absolutely no gluten free options for those who need that. Portions could be smaller on most entrees and larger on a few. The drinks are excellent, but I cannot fathom why a bar would have to stock 30-some brands of tequila...a waste of revenue.

Very crowded when we arrived, 6pm on Saturday is definitely a peak time. Service was still pretty good, considering there wasn't an open table to be seen. Food was excellent, and prices were very reasonable. I will definitely visit again!
We both got the chose 3 combo. The Food was just ok. The Chile roleno was very soggy, the chimichonga was barely crisp and the burrito was more like a taco.the refried beans and the rice were good, as well as the free salsa and chips.
