One of my top 3 favorite meaderies. We got a flight of mead and bought one bottle. We enjoyed them all and luckily they weren't too sweet. Very knowledgeable and friendly service. It was closer to wine and each one has a herbal element which my partner didn't enjoy as much but I didn't mind so much and enjoyed. We still both deemed the mead this our top 3 favorite.

I had my first mead today at Slate Point Meadery. I was a little concerned because I don't like sweet drinks and since these were made with honey I had my concerns. We had a tasting flight we asked the owner to pick for us and sat down and waded in. I don't remember which ones I tried but three out of four of them were delicious. There was one made with berries and aged with vanilla that just wasn't for us. But that's why they make so many flavors. There's something for us all. Alcohol content seemed to range from about 7% to 10.5% but I was told by the owner-brewer that some meads can hit over 20%. I say this so that you realize you can get drunk on mead! The place was cozy with lots of seating a very clean restroom and a very friendly and informative owner willing to talk mead and answer our questions. It is definitely worth a visit

I planned a birthday party here and Eric was incredible throughout the whole process. The venue was so nice and very affordable! Eric even brought in options from other local businesses in case the party wanted options other than mead. We did multiple flights and tried all of the mead and it was all delicious! I couldn't say enough great things about Eric and his wife and I would one hundred percent recommend having a private event here or stopping in for a glass.... Or two.... Of mead !

Fantastic service! We are from out of state and they were so hospitable. We tried multiple flights of meads. They ranged from dry (green lit) to more sweet. Nothing was too sweet. A great place to sip mead and chill. Music on the the radio was great too!

Wide selection of meads and Eric is a very knowledgeable owner and mead maker. Glad to see another type of craft beverage breaking ground in New York State. Highly recommend stopping in and trying a flight

Fun! Safe area in Poughkeepsie. I recommend the flights... all of them! It was a good way to try the many flavors of mead.
A must-try in downtown Poughkeepsie, tucked in the middle of a bunch of restaurants and breweries. Tastings made for a fun afternoon before heading to dinner plans nearby. Each mead is very unique and they ranged from herbal, to fresh, to fruity, to coffee-inspired, to aged in rye or gin barrels. Most are gluten-free, too—hard to pick a favorite! The owners are really helpful and nice, as well. Looking forward to going back!

Excellent mead, nice tasting room. Small, clean tasting room. Read about the various offerings before we visited. Tried the Clever Fox, and it's a superb mead. The per bottle price is $27 (for 750 ml) which is a little pricey for a mead. But it's good quality and unique. Overall cleanliness: above averageService: nice staff

Great experience. Stopped in a couple minutes before they were supposed to close unfortunately but still managed to have a great experience! The gentleman let us try a few to find the perfect mead blend for us! I’ve tried multiple meads and they typically are too sweet for me but this was not super sweet but more like kombucha.

What an amazing place. My wife and I when there because we didn’t know much about mead. The owner Erick was so personable. We ordered flights. Everything was great. We even got bottles to go definitely going back. Highly recommend!!!!!!
