Please exercise caution when dealing with Tavern 23 in Poughkeepsie. I have now made over 20 attempts to contact the owner regarding an erroneous charge on my debit card for a single cheeseburger pickup order. They have billed me more than double the original amount and have been avoiding my calls to both the restaurant and catering numbers. When I finally reached the owner, he instructed me to file a dispute, despite knowing that it's impossible if not provided a customer copy. The situation has escalated to the point where a waitress offered to provide me with a complimentary meal (paid out of her pocket, which isn't fair to her) to retain me as a customer. Additionally, for years, a group of over 25 friends and I have frequented this establishment annually to celebrate my birthday since its inception. I am really quite disheartened it's been by far my favorite place to eat.

Coming here I did not expect anything more prior to looking at photos online. Customer service I would give a 3 she had an attitude because I wanted to change my drink even though she was taking orders she did not itch to hide her attitude. They sent out my wings with all drums. After requesting them to fix it because I did not order all drums for them to send only drums the guy said okay and never returned. Each time he passed he just looked at me. At this time I was over it from the drink situation. She brought everyone to go containers except me as it was 4 of us at the table. I requested one and she still didn't bring one. Honestly if you are just looking for beer and some quick food yes otherwise don't waste your time coming here. The food was mid.

Monday night Prime Rib was amazing. Im a salt-o-holic i didn't need salt on my prime rib it was perfect when dipped in the sauce. Service well everyone knows everyone in the place a true local pub. But duper friendly staff. Felt like you could just belong here if you wanted to. Lots of cool decor!

We came for the All-You-Can-Eat Cornbeef & Cabbage plus more. I had a fantastic experience at Tavern 13 last night! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and the flavors were incredible.The atmosphere at Tavern is also great. We ate outside with our child under the heated tent, which we loved. It's a lively and fun place to be, but it's not too loud so you can still have a conversation. The bar is also well-stocked with a wide variety of drinks, so there's something for everyone.Overall, I had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat and drink with friends. I will def will be back especially on St. Patrick’s Day! 5 ⭐️

What a spectacular little restaurant! Cozy and comfortable, unpretentious and welcoming... and the food is AMAZING. Every member of staffvseemed to take pride and pleasure in the place. We came in for a Valentines dinner and everything just blew us away from the jump. The venue was relaxed and relaxing. The servers were friendly, attentive, and chill. The food was legitimately phenomenal. We had a roasted pork chop and a Balboas sandwich that seriously knocked our socks off. And definitely try the carrot cake! A serious treasure in the heart of Poughkeepsie. We'll be back for certain.

Up visiting my daughter at Marist she googled lunch place this came up so we went. Drove by the place a little hidden joint in a residential area. Walked in a little bit of a dive looking place but we sat down anyway. Glad we stayed the staff was friendly and on top of there game. Typical bar menu but fantastic food great local crowd my Ruben sandwich was delicious great fries. We will be back for lunch on our next Marist visit a nice little gem.

Hometown go to. Their chefs are freaking amazing best pierogies that I know about in the entire County possibly entire State I haven't tried that many pierogies though. Not to mention every single thing else on their menu that's amazing. You know it's a good place when they do customer appreciation days as well. Tavern 23 always a good time.

Their Fries are ahhmazing. The Rueben (My goto sandwich,) was on point with the flavors and layers. 4 stars because, they could serve with less of a NYC rush atmosphere.
