I recommend the Sunday special of meatballs, spicy sausage, and short ribs over Rigatoni and the stuffed mushrooms.

Dinner tonight was excellent! Staff is amazing everyone is friendly, helpful and hardworking. We found this gem in January and we have been back 3 times since then and we couldn't find anything wrong with this restaurant. Great staff, great and plentiful food. Don't miss out!

So today's is Valentines Day and I make my way to Cara Mia with my lady. Low and behold an HOUR and a half wait because there are people with reservations. I ask the hostess "why is it when I called to make reservation for Valentines Day, I was told only a table of six or more people are allowed for said reservation? Which she proceeds to tell me "Oh no we do couple reservations on Valentines Day! WTH?? Night almost ruined, I was beyond pissed a waste of time and gas. Thank God for VIAGGIOS in RVC they made night memorable and had my wife smiling for ear to ear. Just to show I'm not TROLLING I included picture of phone call I made to ensure reservation. You guys lost a good customer, MAKE IT RIGHT! For now anybody who asks I'll tell them to steer clear. Today 2-14-24

Very good Italian restaurant, the wait staff was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. They kept checking in on us. We were able to just walk in at 6pm on a weekday, I'm sure they're very busy on the weekends and that would not be the case. The ambiance is quiet, nice old school decor. The food is plentiful, don't fill up on the bread. The lava cake was delicious and so was the lasagna.

The fish is very good bit of a limited menu, and the bartender that could do a better job making cocktails

I love going to places What I look for is all the qualities that will prompt me to return & keep my inclination enthused. Cara Mia has the vibe & orientation to curate your dining experience accordingly to your taste. Tonight was my first time here so I'll be back!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Great home cooked Italian! The food was delicious, everyone was very pleased with their meal. The ambience is great, and so cozy the place looks great and very modern. Service was outstanding so friendly, helpful, welcoming, and very educated on the menu. Definitely recommend will be back soon!

We heard a lot of hype about this restaurant. We went here 1 week ago for my sister's birthday on a Sunday evening. We had to add salt to the appetizers and then my entree, the beef short rib special of the night, was too salty. Average food, nice atmosphere and good service. We all agreed, we could take it or leave it. If someone I know wanted to try it out, I would go with them, other than that, wouldn't go back.

Note that they have relocated to Floral Park. Cara Mia is better than before in several ways. The setting is nicer and the menu choices are more interesting. The noise level, however is much louder. They only take reservations for parties of six or more and we were not pleased to see that they took another party who arrived later than we had before us. Our server was thoughtful and offered more coffee without being asked.

The food here is great. We started with the half dozen baked clams. The sauce in it was delicious. Great to dip your bread in. I ordered the calamari Fra Diablo. It was a big portion. The sauce was medium spicy. The food was great. The service was good. I would definitely recommend it for great Italian food.

We celebrated my wife's birthday here. The place is very nice... the service was great and the food is excellent!! The fried calamari is one of the best I have ever had! The portions are very generous and the prices aren't too bad either. Definitely on our "go back" list!

This place is, without question, some of best Italian Restaurants in the NYC area. They moved to a new location, which is in a charming neighborhood. The staff was wonderful. They treated our 9 year old daughter and her friend as adults. Great service. The food is beyond amazing. The best broccoli rabe you will ever eat.

This Italian restaurant was a gem! We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and the food and service was amazing! I had the gnocchi with mushrooms, which was out of this world. This is definitely a place we would go back to.
