I used to like this buffet, I went there 4 times , the 4th times I told myself i won’t go there again. They don’t charge you upfront anymore, they charge you when you’re finished eating. Which was weird to me. The bill was almost $30 for one person. Not only that the server was approx 7 feet standing watching me eating which made me uncomfortable.

We went for the crab legs unfortunately only one person from the other table kept going and taking all of them. The rest of the good was great, and the sushi too.

Too expensive 30 dollars per person children 25 and the food is cold and sometimes damaged before it was better and the waiters want you to tip them 10 dollars for each person and on top of that they are angry ? the abuse of these people is too much

(Century buffet era) I don’t know how to feel about this place I went at lunch time today to eat with friends service was great but THE FOOD some of it you can tell is old. The Mac n cheese was SOUR. It was not the cheese definitely I eat all types of cheeses. It is spoiled Mac and cheese. The pink gelatin tasted odd as well. The tomago sashimi tasted old and spoiled. I know how tomago should taste it should taste soft and sweet egg but it tastes SOUR and was white small spots on it. I won’t be eating here again I should report this place to the health department. Kids are eating here too!!!! Do not come here. ??Update: I see that they have changed the name to umi but let's see if they improved. The photos sushi and sashimi look fresh but when I stop by one day I will edit this.

A nice, convenient buffet! This is a go to when I can't decide on what to eat, since there's a mix of sushi and sashimi, Chinese, seafood, American, etc. on display. I also love that the soda is refillable (no extra charge). I hope to come back again soon!

(Skip to the very bottom for the main issues)I’ve been coming here for a long time. I first started coming when I was a little kid. The quality has really went down throughout the years. I don’t know if they went through new management or something, but the food isn’t as great as I remembered it to be.There is different pricing for the food throughout the day. Lunch is about $18 and ends 3:30 but Dinner is much more expensive and is past 3:30. For $18, the food is mediocre. I can’t really much complain about the quality. The atmosphere and environment is much better than the food quality.Nowadays, I would go alone every few weeks; in fact, I went today. Every single time I went, I’ve had the waitresses hassle me for tips. I’m not against tipping and I do tip for good service. But let’s be real, this is a buffet and all I’m asking is my water to be refilled. Why do I have to pay extra just for someone to walk 5 ft, grab a pitcher and essentially what their job requires them to do? Can I get my own water then if I have to tip them for that? Because I’m sure they would tell me I can’t and so I’m basically forced to tip. I am always put into this uncomfortable situation with the waitress staring at me or repeatedly asking for tips. Even the times I said no, they continue to harass me until I say yes.It used to be that the tip was included with the bill as gratuity. This isn’t a much better option if every waitress just harasses the customer for tips. I don’t know if I’m going to continue eating here. It’s absolutely absurd how the waitresses can act like that, but other waitresses in other businesses will literally get fired for harassing customers on tips.
