Humbled Path

The food and the price is decent here, but you have to go there before 5pm. The service from the staffs could be better, but I still go there for the food and price.

I’ve never had Haitian food before but I heard it’s really good, so I decided to go to this restaurant. The young lady in the front was so disrespectful she makes it seems like I was bothering her on top of that her armpit was sweating I told her she turn me off and I just walked out. If I’m spending my money at your establishment I need to be treated with respect. ✊

I was there about 5 weeks ago & order 3 Lumbi dinners to go. This is the most expensive dish on the menu & I was very disappointed. The lady put these big chunks of carrot s & lot of onions instead of lumbi. This is why customers don't return. They will have more & more customers not returning because of greed! In the long run you will make less money & have a bad reputation.

Came here for the first time, recommended by a friend who had already prepared me for the visit, but not well enough. The appearance of this restaurant is not very appealing. They have table and chairs (sort of like a Chinese restaurant) for people to sit and eat at. There isn't really a line or structure to ordering. The women serving, were rude and lack customer service. Rolling their eyes, huffing and puffing, did not wish to answer questions about the price difference between, small and large. Meanwhile they had several different containers that appeared to be the same size but different price. To my benefit, I speak English AND creole so these girls serving my food had to play nice, though I am sure they did not want to. I ordered the taso (fried goat) which was made to order and I did enjoy. Along with the rice and peas and the fried plantain. My biggest issue was the customer service which will not allow me to return. I'll go to where I know my business is appreciated and the food is great!

The server was a very nice haitian young lady with a short haircut. She was very personable and funny. Being that my creole isn't the best she walked me thru. The rice and beans as well as the meatballs I ordered all lacked flavor. Even after adding salt to it, just didn't have that haitian home cooked flavor. When in new york again may try them again only due to how nice the server was but in this case a loss of $37.
