I am a big Bánh Mi fan, I haunt for a good Bánh mi all over nyc, but this is by far the worst I had!The bread was cold, me and my bf ended up toasting our own bread ourselves, the pickle veggie tasted weird and the sauce is not your traditional sauce. I don't mind trying new flavors or non- traditional recipes, but the shop sauce does not taste good at all, reminded me of cheap salad dressing and hot sauce blend together, not sure how to describe it, but it was gross.

The paté was bad and my 2 sandwiches had an awful vinegar sour taste(edit:upon further thought, I think the daikon was not prepped properly). I was so famished I soldiered on while my gf looked on with a mix of pity and disgust. Not my proudest moment. 2 hours & 17 miles away, I sit writing this with an angry stomach doing a runaway timpani roll . I anticipate the next few hours will be sweaty. Saturday plans are null and void. Thanks addictive! In its defense, the spring rolls(+1star) were crispy cylinders of tasty light happiness. Near perfection if I do say so...if I can say anything after this wave of stomach cramping subsides

Nicely assembled but just doesn't feel worth it, nearly 10 bucks for the sandwich and it's just kinda bland. I don't recommend the green tea either. Chicken dumplings seemed alright.YMMV

Great spot for takeout sandwiches. Both the Leamongrass chicken and the pork belly were good. Got a side order of pork Dumplings, delicious.

It seems so random to have a banh mi shop in Jackson Heights but I definitely welcome it- empanadas and banh mi all in the same walk. We ordered the classic and lemon grass with high anticipation. The bread as others have mentioned might be the best thing about the sandwich. Classic - favorite of the two; the chả lụa was surprisingly really good considering how it's not that easy to get quality meat in Queens. We ordered medium spicy (at a Viet shop that normally means one bird eye chili pepper- which is sufficient heat) but I think it was jalapeño here, so if you can handle heat I say just go for the spicy. Lemongrass chicken - in most places the chicken is typically grilled and pretty charred up. Our sandwich seemed to be a healthy alternative where the chicken was boiled and seared- didn't really get a lemongrass note to it. The unfortunate part of this method is the meat remains quite wet and in turn the bread becomes soggy- not quite mixing well with the added sauces and veggies. Overall I think it's awesome having a Viet option in Jackson Heights, it's just the taste doesn't quite fit what I expect from a banh mi, but I can definitely see how it can fit tastes of others. Having a tofu option is also nice to see.

I really wanted to like this place since I've been searching for good Viet food since coming to NYC 5+ years ago, and I read the reviews and thought this place might be the one. (The other option I was looking at was too modernized and not traditional Viet food, so I ultimately chose this location.) I grew up right outside of DC where there's a "little Vietnam" with amazinggg Vietnamese food for a great price. I also had a Viet friend (who grew up in Vietnam and moved to the states for college) who showed me around to the authentic true spots in SF too, so my standards are high. I read the raving reviews and thought this place might be comparable, but unfortunately I couldn't finish the meal. I ordered the pork belly banh mi, chicken lemongrass vermicelli, and Vietnamese iced coffee. Both the banh mi and the vermicelli had a fishy smell--and no it was not the fish sauce. (I eat plenty of food with fish sauce, and actually enjoy it.) I normally get banh mi thit nuong (grilled pork) when I go to my normal spots, so I tried the pork belly. Both the chicken and pork were moist and not dry at all though! They were cooked well. They just lacked the flavor I was expecting. I also didn't realize I should've said spicy to have some peppers in it. It lacked the little bits of spice I was accustomed to. The bread was great though and held up well in delivery. The vermicelli had a good amount of each ingredient, but had a bit too much vermicelli. The sauce it comes with was also decent, but overall the dish was a bit lackluster. I wonder if it might be because there was too much vermicelli. (In Queens I've also tried District Saigon's vermicelli, and I don't know if I would choose either over the other. DS had overpowering notes of everything, but specifically vinegar and sugar, whereas ABM was subdued and much easier to consume but was just lackluster.) And finally the iced coffee, maybe it was because of the delivery, but it was watered down like another review stated. I've had plenty of Viet iced coffee that traveled, and even after "watering down" from the ice melting it still was rich. I'm thinking their hot coffee would've been the way to go, since the coffee itself was still decent. Overall the meal was average at best. I'll have to continue my search.

So good! I'm a middle aged Vietnamese woman, first generation so I grew up on real Vietnamese food from my mom's kitchen and the old guards from Cali's Bolsa community. This place has the real ingredients and flavors of a true Vietnamese Sandwich. Bonus: the place is super clean and they used paper containers rather than plastic or Styrofoam (although most VN sandwich shops would just put it in a brown paper bag.) I've tried many banh mi places in NYC. Some are good but few are delicious, authentic and fresh. Thanks, Addictive, for giving me a taste of home.

Didn't expect it but, Addictive Bánh Mì was simply brilliant. The prices are very moderate as well. Excellent food, The Classic Sandwich was outstanding without a doubt. This The Classic Sandwich was prepared just perfectly. Staff really attentive even when the place is fully packed. Totally recommend Addictive Bánh Mì and we will certainly be back again.

It hurts to leave a bad review during these times. But the food was simply not good. Everything taste old. All of the food we ordered had to be thrown out.
