I’ve been coming here for a couple years now at this point. I’ve celebrated intimate birthdays here. I’ve eaten alone, with others it doesn’t matter. You guys do really great work and it can’t be easy. There’s only a few places where I don’t care what anything costs, Plein Air is that for me. Leaving with my heart and stomach full.

I’ve seen the owners be really horrible to their employees. Everyone seems miserable and the vibe is bad. Food is fine but it doesn’t make up for the maltreatment.

A perfect neighborhood restaurant. If you only check out the excellent dinner service, you will miss the best breakfast sandwich in Ridgewood.

The owner Jackie is a gem and the food is fabulous. Feels like being in Paris, we enjoyed a long luxurious meal and every dish was a hit. Ridgewood is lucky to have this establishment! Better than Rolo’s.

Great food. Cocktails ambiance and Pastis in queens. This restaurant is a real French establishment in queens.

My favorite restaurant in the neighborhood, I love their pork belly with beans, also anytime they have a special I go for it because their chef is great. For the drinks, I recommend the punch bowl it serves up to 4 people and it's so delicious!!

I started coming to Plein Air for breakfast when they first opened a few years ago. It's been really nice to see how the restaurant has developed since then, and it's all been for the better (not that it was ever not good). Firstly, for breakfast, the eggs, sandwiches, and other dishes are all delicious. They really know how to cook an egg, and I always order a side of toast with jam and butter. It feels like a satisfying meal without being too heavy - hard to do at breakfast! I tried dinner for the first time recently and was equally, if not more impressed. French food is honestly not something I have as much experience with as other cuisines, but the flavors and textures all satisfy and complement each other. The interesting array of tasty and unique aperitifs, cocktails, and wines all pair well, too. The seatings are limited, due to the relatively-small size of the restaurant, but personally this is one of its most appealing qualities, to me. Intimate, quiet, relaxed ambience, and attentive servers who bring your drinks and food quickly, but not rushed.

I'm really exhausted by restaurants who claim to have good food and good service when they really don't. Overall the service was very off and unwelcoming. Don't get the french onion soup, it's a hotmess in a small bowl. I won't come back but save yourself from the trouble of coming here.

Not sure how there are so few reviews commenting on the negative atmosphere of this restaurant. Could cut the tension of the space with a knife. Have heard from a few folks who were employed here that the owners frequently raise their voice at them and berate them, which I suppose is why they can't seem to hang on to employees for more than a couple months at a time. There are so many wonderful spots in Ridgewood with lovely community vibes, will be skipping this spot from now on!

Loved the food and the vibe. It's a little tight in the winter when it's too cold to be outside, but excited to go back soon
