I found large chunks of plastic in my smoothie. I'm sure it was an accident and maybe a knife or fork fell inside the blender and wasn't noticed. But it's of course extremely dangerous. Please be careful when making orders as I could have really harmed myself

Food is delicious and delivery was quick! My favorite bakery in Flushing. The service is very personable as well!

They changed owners a year ago and I guess I'll be the first to rate them on yelp. I stayed here for an afternoon and enjoyed the iced coffee and delicious bread, there are not many people here, so compared to Starbucks, it's not crowded or noisy, and there is no time limit here, so I can sit here as long as I want , enjoy my food and will not be rudely kicked out by the staff, or stared by staff . The lady who work as cashier has a good attitude, she can speak Chinese and Korean, but her English is not that good, but she understands what I'm ordering, it's just that she needs to confirm many times so that I won't order the wrong coffee, I don't mind that. I'll be back here next time as I enjoy the quiet sitting time here. By the way, because they have buy 2 get 1 free time between 06:00 p.m. - 07:00 p.m. I usually walk by and got lot of free bread for low price. Love it!

We were looking for shaved ice around the area and finally found this treasure. Their shaved ice is super smooth and flavorful. Highly recommended!

The coffee here is pretty good. They offer a selection of espressos, teas and coffee. Bakery items are somewhat limited and are not your traditional buns you would find at Fay Da or Taipan, probably because it's a Korean bakery (although the selection is still limited compared to koryodang). Seats about 14 people.

One of my favorite bakeries in flushing. They have cheese Danish, a very large French macaroon (not the traditionally small coconut kind) and some other things that I highly recommend. And the best thing is that their pastries and cakes don't all taste the same like other bakeries. In not crazy about their coffee though. That would be the thing to improve if i were the owner. They have been in flushing s very long time and have outlived many others. So they're doing something right.

A decent bakery on Union Street. Surrounded by Korean and Chinese restaurants on that block, I was really happy to stumble upon this bakery a few months ago. After coming back yesterday, I easily remembered why I loved this place so much. The decor is plain, nothing special. Their pastry selection is limited to only the most popular breads and pastries. Prices are reasonable for what they are giving. The quality is always impressive. Their white bread is so fluffy and rich. We also got some sort of bread coated with some sort of light glaze and powdered sugar. That was the best thing I have ever ordered at an Asian bakery before. Service is quick and bilingual.

3.5, really. High ratings are for very specific food items only. In fact, it is mainly because they offer bacon. New Canaan is a beacon of bacon in a bland sea of bread. It is a bacon oasis. 1) Bacon egg and cheese on a croissant is extremely satisfying. I was worried about finding a good, bodega-style bxfast sandwich in this world of chinese bakery items and expensive korean chain bakeries. 2) Their coffee is curiously strong and delicious, and a whole $2 cheaper than Tous les Jours or Paris Baguette. Unfortunately, they do not offer soy milk. Strange as so many asians are lactose intolerant - but not strange, in that Asians who succumb to lactose intolerance are just hypochondriac pussies. Thou shall overcome. Today I ordered a vanilla latte and I was super impressed at how good it tasted. (Admittedly my expectations were low. I was scared). 3) Their ginger-lemon tea (jarred korean citron preserve) is strong, delicious, and cheaper than Tous Les Jours. ---------------------------------------- It is not the most "rustic" or "spacious" or "friendly" or "spotless" cafe out there, but Ive got pretentious Manhattan and Brooklyn cafe standards. I have not been tempted by any of their wrapped bread/bakery/pastry items. I mean this 4 star rating is literally because of bacon.

Pretty cheap for a Korean bakery and fresh bread every day. Cake is especially cheaper compared to other bakeries, and daily 10% discount for pre-orders. Small shop, but great atmosphere to hang out in.

A Korean bakery in Downtown Flushing. With a good friend who is now a local to Flushing, we ventured to Canaan Bakery for after brunch sweets. One Green Tea cake was very light and refreshing, one coconut bun, one mini Tawianese pineapple cake were a delight. I like this bakery for the many options.

Passed by a few times and wanted to try this Korean bakery near my home. I went early in the morning. The bakery looks nothing special, inside and outside. In fact, it IS nothing special; I was highly disgusted. Bought two pastry buns and both buns were stale, hard as rocks, and difficult to chew. I ate a few bites of both buns and immediately tossed them away. No, my teeth is prefectly fine. It were those buns that were not. Did the bakery serve me some left over food from the night before??? This is not the way to treat customers, especially if you want customers to come back. Worst yet, their buns are very expensive! I mean, I wouldn't be this upset if the price were lower for the poor quality food I ate. But honestly, Canaan bakery cannot compare to Paris Baguette who charges a higher price for the high quality baked goods. No wonder they have more business. Come on, do yourself a favor and walk a few blocks over to Paris for some soft, moist pastry buns. You can definitely taste a difference! Note: 30% off after 8pm. Yeah, I wonder why...

Over priced bakery with really watery tasting cakes. I pass by this place all the time and their cakes look really attractive and decorative, so I decided to buy one for mom's birthday, and my mom's response was "why does this cake taste so watery?" I tried it and it sure does taste watered down. It's expensive, too! A small 6inch mocha cake with mocha cream filling was $30! I will never buy cakes from here ever again. From now on, I'll only get cakes from Sun Mary bakery on 41st road and main street.
