I was craving chick fil-a post long run but there is no CFA in Astoria. I was looking for alternative chicken sandwich options and discovered Cayenne Nashville Hot Chicken. I got the Southern Chick Sammy and it was heaven! The meat is tender and quite big. I feel like I may have found the best chicken sandwich spot in the neighborhood. I also had the cajun fries which were decent, and the corn bread, which was ok. I got the food delivered via Caviar with no fuss and no crazy price hike.

4 stars for the hot chicken, plus an extra star for the very good fries. Chicken was tender and tasty. I ordered fiery spicy and felt that the spice level for someone who likes spicy food, needed a few more levels of spice. My only issue is that the bun was not my favorite, a little too dry and would have preferred a brioche bun, and without sesame seeds. Fries came so crispy and fresh for takeout, with a good amount of it as well.

I went with the Fiery chicken breast sandwich and spicy fries for a pickup order. I was walking from my hotel, so I requested a time about 35 minutes in the future as I was about a half mile away. I arrived at 4:57 and my order was supposed to be ready at 5:05. To my surprise, it was already done and ready for pickup. The bag didn't feel very warm so it seems like it was sitting there a while. Luckily my hotel had a microwave in the lobby so I popped the whole order in for a minute. All I can say is, "Wow!" Easily the best chicken sandwich I've ever had and the fiery wasn't too hot. The bun was soft and delicious. My receipt did not display the time I requested anywhere, so I wonder if there is a disconnect there for delayed orders. Next time I will request is ASAP or have it delivered. Also, no napkins or utensils. Make it warmer and give me a napkin and we are looking at five stars.

My husband had the Mild Chicken Sammy. The toppings were placed on the sandwich haphazardly. The pickles were in a single pile. Ready for one pickly bite. The chicken breast was burned. Because of this it’s flavor was bitter and it’s breaded exterior could have broken a tooth. The burnt taste was the only discernible flavor. My husband didn’t detect the slightest bit of spice, but maybe the hot version would’ve been better for him. The sandwich was greatly improved by adding the honey mustard sauce. The sauce however didn’t have any hint of sweetness, tasted like a spicy mustard. The fries were good, and the comeback sauce was great.

GREAT chicken! And great staff! I've been hoping for a solid Nashville style place around the Astoria/LIC are and this is it. Well spiced, VERY crispy (even after getting it home) and delicious meat with solid portions.One note: the LIC spot at least, is a ghost kitchen, so you normally can't just walk up to the store to get it, as I discovered today, since there is no storefront! But the staff there were very friendly, showed me how to get there and let me order straight from the kitchen. They even tossed in some free nuggets to let me see what all three spice levels taste like - and indeed all three were very good. I got the OG spice level this time and I may go one level up next time!

ordered the original sandwich and the mac and cheese. the chicken was overcooked dry and disgusting felt like i was gonna lose a tooth not sure why or how i even managed to force myself to eat such a disgusting sandwich. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! horrible overcooked chicken disgusting.

The first time I ordered from this place it was amazing. I was given two giant chicken breasts that were crispy, tender, and delicious. The second time I ordered I received two small chicken thighs that were crunchy and dry. What happened???? The sides are still good though. Two chicken breast is worth the money, but two chicken thighs was not.UPDATE: Management reached out to me and explained the situation. Will definitely be back again because they do have delicious chicken!

Between us the sides were solid (beans and mac n' cheese), but the winner was the coleslaw. Interesting flavors and perfect texture! I only wish there were more of it in the container, which seemed a little light to me, but maybe it's because I liked it so much. The people on the phone and website were super responsive and helpful. "There are no breasts listed on Seamless." "They'll be ready in 45 minutes!" We'll be happy to order from them again.

Arriving at the address, there are no obvious signs for Cayenne, but it is unit C. As we approached the door it opened, gave our name and a bag was handed over. We opt'd for a couple of sandwiches. #1: Chicken breast, Hot level with ranch. This is a large piece of chicken that hangs off the bun. The chicken is cooked well. As for the heat level, it wasn't that hot. It felt more like a mild medium heat to me. Ranch was served on the side and was tasty. #2: Chicken thigh, Mild. Asked for comeback sauce, but got ranch. The thigh is much smaller than the breast which makes sense, but maybe they shouldn't be the same price. The thigh had a welcomed crispier texture vs. the breast. The mild didn't have a kick at all, but was flavorful. These are good and enjoyable chicken sandwiches. Overall ordering and pick-up was quick and easy. I was expecting more heat from "Nashville Hot Chicken" and would have liked more coleslaw on the sandwiches. Next time I'd try the Fiery version in hopes of getting a slow burn.
