If you want flavorful charcoal grilled meat- this is the food cart to go to. This place always has a line but it moves fast so don't be intimidated. We ordered a kofta platter as well as a half chicken- both came with two soups, one tomato based the other was I believe a orzo base with a side salad and two types of rice with side of hot sauce and white sauce. The sides were a nice touch since it's a little different from other halal carts but it's really the smoky herbs of the meat that really sings. For these two platters it cost us 29 dollars total and that's pretty reasonable for a meal for two people with leftovers as well. Give them a try!

One of the best food trucks in all of NYC. Literally everything they make is good worth trying all the items on the menu you will not be disappointed. This food truck puts other restaurants to shame. The sandwich's are a personal favorite. Definitely worth trying then out if your in the neighborhood.

I placed my order 40 minutes before they closed for a kabab sandwich. I got there a little early and I saw the cook with no mask and no gloves and no hat. I saw him put 1 skewer of chicken in 4 sandwiches. He was literally putting 3-4 pieces of meat in a sandwich with his hand. He was trying to cut the already small pieces of meat even smaller to make it look like there's more meat. This used to be my favorite kabab sandwich but now I will never comeback. It's disgusting the way they make their food. WEAR GLOVES at least if you are not going to cover your hair or have a mask on. If I could I'd give this place a -10

Used to be a really good spot for good food but I guess not anymore. He shows attitude rather than helping out. I ordered two mix grill. The chicken was good but the beef was dry and chewy. For the price food should be better as this is a cart.

Famous for their kofta sandwich it no mystery why. It's delicious. All you get is charcoal grilled kofta with tahini and arugula on a fresh roll and that's all you need. It's perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to try anything off the grill here

My favorite food cart in Queens! Kofta Kebab Sandwiches are delicious.. goodness.. nothing else to say about that. I mean the flavor is perfect. Ask for extra white sauce. I suggest calling ahead and making sure that they are open before walking down to the cart. Usually after 5/6pm they are stationed on Steinway.
So the pictures are false advertisement! Because the food is not that good. It use to be good once upon a time. But now no flavor, over priced & small quantity of meat. The bowls are full of rice. I gave this place 3 chances. Farids Grill will not be visited again.

Mahmood has the best chicken and rice hook up ever!! He's very nice, and I feel as if it's the best bang for your buck. 12$ for meat/yummy spicy rice/bread/salad/two soups - the orzo soup is really good, I like to mix some in with the rice, and salad. This place has been pretty consistent with their food, in terms of the rice and meat being tender. The only time the taste was a little off was once during Ramadan, which I'm going to write off as him fasting- May Allah SWT reward him and everyone else that were cooking while fasting. Other than that, really tasty chicken and rice!!!
