I called about catering dosas and the guy was super nice and gave me details on why dosas have to be made fresh and recommended some other places that might be able to do it. This is a place that cares about food quality and not just about money. Highly recommend.

I have never had Dosa before and had not much of an idea what to expect but being a vegetarian I am always up to try something new. My mind was blown away by how absolutely delicious this food was. I had a Spinach Masala Dosa and my mom had the Masala Onion Dosa. The Spinach one was absolutely FABULOUS. I don’t know what the three sides across the top of the player were but the soup like one in the middle was so good and I loved the pink sauce like one on the right. There was legitimately no food left on my plate at the end and all of this food for such a great price. I will most DEFINITELY be back!

Replying to your message , I will explain the reason why this place is 3/5. I came twice not to not judge by the first visit, but both times I was disappointed in the dosa quality . The rava dosa wasn't as crunchy like the first time (and I waited for this rava dosa for over 30 min) and the masala in the ghee dosa didn't have any salt . The masala tea tasted watered down and wasn't drinkable.The only good food I had gotten was the puri with dal and channa and medium vada.

It is the BEST south Indian veg food I ever had in NewYork.Taste wise and quality wise...it's the best best food.Dosa and Vada and chutney is so delicious.Coconut chutney (this restaurant makes it in authentic way)So happy I went there.But I really suggest them to change their mode of table service.

Hidden gem of a south Indian, vegetarian restaurant. Highly recommend the dosas and veg biryani w/ soy chunks here! Been coming here for a few years now, and quality has been maintained along with affordable prices.

It's a very simple low-key restaurant. The food tastes very good and the prices are very reasonable.I usually eat masala dosa and idli sambar. Last time, I ordered lemon rice, which I did not enjoy as much. I felt they had extra oil, and it was little too lemony for my taste.There is usually ample parking around the restaurant.We drive from 30 min away to dine here and will continue to do it.

Just came back from this place , potato filling in dosa was stale and smelled like it has gone bad. Told the server and owner , they said they will check in the kitchen. Charged my credit card for food , and no comments from anyone in the store . Didn’t even bring one order of the food item at the table . Wasn’t expecting anything like this from this place . Totally disappointed ?

Good food. Price is right as well.-> Only thing is that they - If I am around the place, I call the store to place my order and tell them I will be there in 10-15 minutes. They do not take the order. They say come and place the order, we dont take order like that. Others restaurants allow that and I do that with them. This is to avoid the 15-20 minutes wait for we have to go and order and wait.-> Other thing is that they open at 12pm. Its too late.-> They need to be a little more polite rather a straight face abrupt answers.Otherwise, food is good, better than Usha Foods on 255 St and Hillside Ave. Some items are better than Surya Foods on Hillside Ave.
