Juan was our bartender and server and delivered exceptional service!! Very attentive and sweet. The ambiance of the place is lovely , right next to our hotel. We already ate dinner so had some light snacks here and a couple of beers and a cocktail. When my cocktail was a little too sweet , he added a little whisky to balance the taste. Cold and windy night in New York on ling island but a little visit here was a good night cap!

What we ordered and I think is good here: Truffle fried rice, Dan Dan noodles, Crispy pork belly sticks, Century egg clay pot, Mala pot mild which we picked 5 veg and 3 meat. We added beef tripe, tender beef, pork belly, wood ear, eggplant, cabbage, bok choy, 4 season bean. Jasmin tea came in a lovely pot with loose leaf so it was worth and was nice tea. The price is good here too for the amount of food you get. I think it's weird you only get one bowl of rice with the dry pot but the truffle fried rice here is so good it wasn't mandatory. The atmosphere and aesthetic here is so gorgeous it be a nice date spot as well. I recommend.

We were on our way to go to a different restaurant and randomly decided to walk in here instead as it was slightly closer to home. I was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and more affordable than other options in the area. The Szechuan spicy fried chicken had a nice kick to it and wasn't too spicy. The yang zhou fried rice was also very good. The shrimp dumpling from the dim sum tasting was one of the best shrimp dumplings I've had--it was meaty and flavorful unlike those from other spots which tend to be a bit bland. The lava egg pastry was also really delicious and a great way to end the meal. The crispy fried chicken wings were okay, nothing particularly special. My least favorite was probably the soup dumplings--it was a bit on the thicker side and the soup filling wasn't as flavorful as other places. Our waitress was great and was friendly and efficient. Overall a solid place. I would come back here!

I ate here for lunch with a friend on a Monday afternoon; there were very few other patrons dining here. I highly recommend the lunch special! What a deal! It was $15 for a soup, two appetizers - one hot, one cold - rice, and a main! My friend and I were also served hot tea. My favorite thing was the interior design, which felt upscale, and beautiful place settings and teapots! I ordered the wonton soup, which was a good standard chicken broth with hearty wontons. The appetizers served were crispy spring rolls and cold spicy cucumber salad. I thought the cucumber salad was refreshing! I chose the Mongolian shrimp as my main, which was very good, a strong pepper taste. Overall I was satisfied with my meal and left very full. The staff is really friendly there. I'd definitely come back for their great lunch special deals or the different drink deal they have on the weekdays! (I forgot all of them but one is free wine with dinner, a BOGO cocktail deal, etc.)

DO NOT ORDER THE FISH IN CHILI OIL! It’s horrible. The worst fish I have ever had in my life. Their Dim Sum are much better than any other dishes. But still not the best.

I'm in the area frequently for work, and this is my go to dinner location when I arrive. The friendly staff is attentive, and the food delicious, and also quite affordable! my favorites have been the beef back ribs, and truffle fried rice. Don't forget to sample the lichee martini! Yum

Great inexpensive restaurant in an otherwise overpriced LIC. Their dishes are tasty, especially their wonton soup and truffle fried rice. They have a variety of specials available for lunch daily, and their standard dishes are not expensive either. The service is great, and the restaurant itself is beautiful, with a fantastic ambiance that shields you from the bustling and noisy neighborhood outside.

Get the mala dry hot pot and the golden yolk tofu with extra rice. You won't be disappointed. This place is way better than what some reviews imply. I would definitely go again!
