So I was shopping by Jamaica Center. I knew I would want to cook fresh fish this week, so rather than come back to the area Thursday I walked here today. I reached here a bit after noon. I looked at what they had and saw the flounder filets. They smelled fresh. I got around 1.5 pounds. The crowd was light today so I was taken care of right away.

I've been coming here for over 15 years, best seafood selection in all of New York. Great prices, great, fish, great service, what else can you ask for?

This was my 1st time going there and I was not disappointed. According to the previous review pictures from 2 years ago yellow tail snapper back then was $4.99 today it's $5.99, which is not bad. Blue crab was $25 for a dozen. The crab legs were huge and the fresh looking. It wasn't freezer burnt at all. All the fish looked fresh. I would definitely go back again.

Not able to contact the market because your number doesn't work , you should really update that and list your hours for COVID-19 ..

On Saturday 09/01/18 I went to this fish market for the first time because I needed to buy a large amount of fish. I was told by some friends that the prices were reasonable, in which they were. But when I got home I noticed that the fish was a little smelly for me, I washed and stored in the fridge. By the time on Sunday when we went to cook the fish my whole house smelled terrible. You could smell the fish outside of the house.

This place is in a VERY dangerous area! Good place to get shot by a thug or drug dealer. It's like the Bronx. The shrimp was rotten and had to be thrown away. I do not recommend this place. Run for your lives!!! If the fish etc don't kill you, someone in the area may. Scary.

This place is awesome!!!!! They have everything and it's real fresh. The prices are very reasonable, I bought fresh oysters and shrimp. I forgot to see if they carried king crab legs but I saw they had a fresh lobster tank. Go early cause they get real crowded but they have a bunch of guys cleaning the fish.

I bought fish from a few fish market in Queens but this one stand out. Every time I buy fish its always fresh and the service is good. The key in purchasing fish should be firm, shiny flesh. It should bounce back when touched. Check the eyes the fish should have clear eyes, no cloudiness should be present. They should bulge a little. Check the gills. If whole, they should be bright pink/red and wet, not slimy or dry.
