The service staff in the restaurant have a very bad attitude. When picking up takeout, they will just throw your food on the table and leave without even confirming with you.

Fantastic dim sum! Service was quick, kind, and efficient. They have a special promotion where if you spend over $30, you can get any one item off the menu priced $8.95 or lower for $1.00. Extremely worth it and all the food was very good! We will definitely be going here again!Parking: There’s a paid parking lot one block over on 39th

Newly opened restaurant in the mall, looks very nice inside. But the food is really basic here. We ordered several dishes string beans, fried tofu bites, duck, lobster, pancake, but none of them stood out to me. They all were blend. The duck, with its sauce, was somewhat likable. The lobster, selling at an astronomical price, didn’t come with a lobster pick. The service was also okay. We had hard times getting anyone to help us. We had to call/wave several times to get someone’s attention .They also run a confusing promo of spend $30 and get any dish under $8.95 for $1. But they don’t clearly mention that it applies to only one item . If you order multiple, rest are charged at regular price.Overall it wasn’t worth the hassle of driving from NJ to Flushing to try this place. There are many other good options at a cheaper price in the area.Vegetarian options: Few vegetarian dishes available.Parking: Street parkings are impossible to find. Parking garages and lots are best options. Cheap ones cost about $5/hour.

Is this really Shanghainese food? The spicy pork noodles have very little meat and are filled with dried tofu and carrots. Is this spicy meat? At best, it can only be called hot sauce noodles, okay? Mushroom and vegetarian steamed buns cost $3.55 each! ! The glutinous rice balls made with fermented rice are far different from the snacks from Chenghuang Temple! The noodles mixed with scallion oil are also very unpalatable. The chef is not from Shanghai, right? ! The funniest thing is to use some tissues. I went to the limit and the waiter actually said that I can’t give you too many tissues. The boss doesn’t allow it? ? The food I ordered was not served even after I finished it! One of the most diligent things a waiter does is keep running to see if you have finished paying! I keep coming here to get the bill, but no one has left, okay! !

Would ideally give 4.5 stars but since that’s not an option, give them 5.Ordered 4 fried pork buns. Delicious.Service: meh. They were busy (Monday lunch hour) and first waitress was brusque and said we’re busy. Manager(?) came by and took our order with no issues.Place looks clean and well run except for our first impression. The hostess was very busy.

We tried Lao Ke Le Shanghai Cuisine for the first time today, and honestly, I might just rank it above Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao and Shanghai You Garden. The interior is incredibly beautiful and spacious, with light wood accents, brightly lit neon signs, and Chinese hanging lanterns. The service is fast but well-timed, with dishes coming one after another, one or two at a time. * Shanghai Pan Fried Udon Noodle 上海粗炒面 $11.95 My partner orders this dish at every Shanghainese restaurant we go to and Lao Ke Le is no exception to this rule. This dish was delicious and full of wok hei flavor-- with thick, chewy noodles, tender, thinly sliced pork, fresh bok choy, and julienned carrots and mushrooms. No complaints here aside from being a bit too oily. * Soup Dumpling with Pork (6pcs) 鲜肉小笼包 $1.00** Soup dumplings are known for their delicately thin skin, rich, juicy meat, and well-seasoned broth, and the soup dumplings here hit every single mark, not to mention their incredible size as well. * Lao Ke Le Soup Dumpling (6pcs) 老克勒什锦小笼 $10.95 (1 pork, 1 crab meat and pork, 1 shrimp and pork, 1 truffle and pork, 1 cucumber and pork, and 1 spicy pork) A must-order!! Most Shanghainese restaurants have their very own unique assortment of different flavored soup dumplings, and Lao Ke Le's is by far the best. My partner and I divvied up the dumplings and sang praises after every single bite. The crab and pork was rich but mellow, the shrimp and pork juicy and succulent, the truffle and pork strong and earthy, the cucumber and pork light and refreshing, and the spicy pork mala and addicting. * Pan Fried Pork Bun (4pcs) 上海生煎包 $6.95 This was the last dish to arrive at the table, and honestly, we were quite full, almost bursting by this point. Nevertheless, the buns were piping hot, half-soft, and half-crispy, with savory pork filling inside. I added some chili oil (one of the two table condiments available) to mine and it gave the buns that much-needed kick. * Ice Soybean Milk 冰豆浆 $3.95 Sweet, beany, and straight out of the fridge, so why does it take so long? Usually, drinks are the first to arrive at the table, but we got ours at the very end AFTER I told the server that we never got our soybean milk when she brought the check (mind you, I also asked about it earlier when there was no soybean milk in sight even after the first three dishes were served). The server did offer to waive it off the bill, but we took it to go instead since we needed it to hit $30. **Get any one dish under $8.95 (or an order of pork soup dumplings) for $1 when you spend $30! For dine-in only!

Tucked away on the second floor of the New World Mall, this is great placed to enjoy eastern Chineses style snack and cuisine. It’s soup in a bun is compatible with best in town! They also have special items like salted pork with bamboo soup. If you are craving for authentic Shanghainese food , go no further! They are clean and service is great! You must tried the freshly made moon cake, it’s worth the wait.

Interior is so nice and spacious, veryy well lit, and just looks so modern and clean! (For now!) Service is fast, food comes out really fast as well, and the prices aren't too high. I didn't get to try too much, but I'm pretty impressed with the soup dumplings so far, so definitely ready to order more next time! Truffle Soup Dumplings: definitely get these! I'm always so excited when there's truffle soup dumplings, and this place does it right with some very strong truffle flavors. The soup that came out was sooo delicious omg. One tray wasn't enough - get your own as you won't want to share! The skin is fairly thin, didn't break either, and a good amount of filling. Regular Soup Dumplings: their soup dumplings don't skimp on the soup for sure! I think these are one of the cleaner soup dumplings I've had in a while - not too fatty, doesn't feel greasy or heavy, not salty as well. After eating here, I almost felt like I didn't even eat. Isn't that great?? Salted Soy Milk: oof this was not our thing. I've been wanting to try salted soy milk, but maybe this just wasn't done properly as I couldn't take more than a few sips. It was pretty watery, yet tasted so grassy, nature-like. Like...to raw/fresh, you know?
