It was around 8 o'clock on a Saturday night. There were only four tables of guests when we entered. We waited for fifteen minutes but no tableware or tea was served! Or after we placed our order, we had to ask twice before the water was served (the first time the waiter passed by and didn't hear it) and now there are no appetizers. Many dishes that used to be no longer available, and the kitchen that was on the menu is no longer available! It doesn’t taste as good as before!

The shrimp paste cauliflower has no shrimp paste flavor at all. I asked the waiter if she didn’t put it in, and she said that’s how it is.

Just a regular dish but served in the hot pot. I was expecting it’s should be the one I ate in China, they really cooked in the pot.

I want to physically throw up after what I just consumed ?. The udon smells like burnt plastic with too much black pepper while the chicken taste artificial. I would give this a zero but that is not possible so I give you a one.

The ambience is stellar. They put a lot of effort in the decor. The service was decent. So why isn't the ratings higher? It's the same reason I don't like a particular Vietnamese chain in Flushing: it's not authentic.Majority of the reviews complained about the flavor profile being off and the lack of sweet soy sauce, so I must mention something to get it out of the way: this place is NOT Cantonese. It's Cantonese-influenced, but it's not Cantonese. I thought it's a dead giveaway with the Taiwan Pop in the background and how the establishment speaks mainly Mandarin. But if you didn't know, now you know. And try to see it as an Cantonese-influenced restaurant and you might be more forgiving that there's no sweet soy.- Beef Udon Noodle with Black Pepper Sauce: very peppery. Udon is chewy. It's a good dish, but I don't know if the claypot was necessary.- Claypot Eel over Rice: Flavorful without the need of extra soy. The only complaint is broccoli. Why is it broccoli. I was sharing this dish with a friend who hates broccoli, so I ended up eating all the broccoli. Broccoli isn't even a traditional ingredient to claypot rice, maybe they should switch to chinese broccoli?

The staff is very attentive here! We ordered four different dishes. Sticky rice with crab: crab was not fresh and seemed frozen as the meat was mushy. Crab was not cracked before hand for ease of eating, would not order again for that reasonGreen beans: very goodFish head: strong fishy smell so would avoid if you don't like thatRice with sausage: very good but my husband was confused why they didn't give the soy sauce that usually goes over bozaifan. Ambiance was very good, we were the only other table there. Was very spacious for a stroller with bassinet and waitress moved the chair for us to make room.

Hubby and I decided to try this place and we were both very impressed with the dishes. We ordered the Chinese preserved sausage and rice casserole, tofu casserole and Chinese broccoli casserole. Oh my, each dish was very well done. The rice was crispy in the bottom and was so tasty just by itself. I LOVEed the tofu dish so much, and hubby couldn't decide which dish he liked the most because all of them were so delicious. The waitress was very friendly. And decor of the restaurant was nicely done. Will go back there again and try other casseroles.
