If you're a fan of Egyptian feteer, this place is a great no frills spot. I had the basterma feteer and I didn't find it to be too salty which is usually my issue when I've had it at other places. We also had the sweet feteer with eshta which was delicious. A couple of issues with the service: they ran out of sudoq and the fiteer did take a while to come out. The seating was a bonus because we went with a group, were seated right away, and found it to be a comfortable setup even when other big groups showed up. Also very kid friendly!

One of my favorite spots on Steinway and Astoria. The feteer is so good and unique, kind if like an Egyptian pizza with crispy filo dough. Been here several times and every mix I've tried has been delicious. People here are very nice and will help you order if you don't know what you want. They do have a more extensive menu which I'm looking forward to trying their koshari and their macaroni bachamel which are two of my favorite Egyptian dishes

Don’t come here. The manager of this location is absolutely distasteful, disrespectful, and demeaning towards women. I had an awful interaction with my sister in law here. The manager was rude and disrespectful to us. Ladies, beware if you come here, you will probably experience the same thing.

I visited Mum Feteer with friends on a rainy Sunday, as part of a food tour of Astoria! The restaurant had a decent amount of seating and we walked in without a reservation right when it opened for lunch. It did get busier and full after half an hour, so we were glad to be there at open. the restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. The menu is a bit limited and it was not serving foods/menus that we had seen online originally (picture of their menu attached). The service was a little bit slow serving the food, though this may have been because it just opened for lunch. We shared three dishes: Chicken Feteer: 3/5 our group agreed this tasted a bit like a buffalo chicken pizza... It was a bit disappointing. We also did not get a lot of flavor from the flaky crust of the feteer Hawawshy: 5/5 came right off the oven(?) and was so warm and delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and juicy and flavorful, which was soaked up by the dough. A big favorite, though a bit heavy. Om Ali: 5/5 a delicious pistachio and warm milk based dessert. I enjoyed the raisins inside and would describe the dessert as very lightly sweet and not overwhelming at all. We found the pricing fair and felt the food we ordered were good value on the whole. I was just a bit disappointed that our main entree wasn't particularly special. This may not be my first stop if you're exploring food spots in Astoria.

Delicious! Definitely try the mixed feteer if you are in the mood for something savory!
