Poor service. Either it's understaffed or poorly trained staff. Could not find our waiter to order and could not find him to pay. There was a big party upstairs, but not an excuse for poor service. Other wait staff were not helpful when we asked for our waiter.

I am usually not someone who writes reviews, but I am disgusted by the poor customer service me, my best friend, and other passerbys have received by this establishment. I go so far to say that it was racist. For reference, I am black and my best friend is Bengali and Pakistani.I am visiting my family since I am on spring break, and I decided to try Oasis Cafe with my friend (who wears a hijab). We arrived here at around 11:20pm. It was not busy at all; there were only two people on line. There were around 4 employees who ignored us even though we were standing in front of the register ready to order. They would either look away or not look at us at all. After a few minutes, one lady decided to take our order. She was an older brunette who was ridiculously mean.My friend and I decided to order a hot spinach pie, since our plan was to break it in half and share it. When we were ordering, the cashier lady very bluntly said, “What do you want.” We told her we wanted a spinach pie. She then asked if we wanted it warmed up, and we said yes. When we paid, she proceeded to put the spinach pie in for no more than 3 seconds, hastily wrap it, then give it to us. It was cold.While I regret not saying anything in the moment, I am using this as a learning opportunity to speak up. This same cashier lady, and the same workers, also did not attend to this lady wearing a niqab who wanted to order a birthday cake. She had to go up to the counter and get one of the worker’s attention.I tried to give the benefit of the doubt since I’ve been working in food service since freshman year of college, but this is inexcusable. I got weird looks from other customers in the restaurant, and I think it was because I was the only black girl there at the time. I am also from the area too, so I don’t understand why my presence should be a surprise. The only good thing was the kind manager in the back restaurant who showed us the outdoor seating. He was kind, personable, and went the extra mile. But these people in the front? No thank you!!! I wouldn’t go here if you are a minority.

Ordered from uber eats 5 almond cookies (BASED ON THE PHOTOS FOUND HERE) . To my surprise revieved 2 almond cookies that looked like the photo on the app and seen on their website. However, I received 3 small round ones. Still charged the same . Taste great but portion wrong.

Oasis Cafe is fantastic. I went with 2 groups of friends on friday nights and me and my friends had a great time. Average amount of selection for food but the deserts and coffee are what they're known for! Prices were fair . Your crazy if you go to oasis and don't order the desert. Alcohol is expensive as expected and the atmosphere is really well put together. Very flexible hours.The whole vibe of the place is great for all ages. If you like it active and lively come past 8pm on weekends. We will be back in the future!
