Food and service is always amazing but noticed a 4% surcharge that is now being included if you pay with a credit card. They said it was a bank issue, legal, and they started it yesterday but it's an optional issue from the store itself. Didn't see the sign and was a little surprised as last week, that wasn't on my receipt. They explained the situation and it's still unfortunate that they are deciding to charge the fee. Even though they said it's a mandated fee, it's very optional after looking at the NYS website. I hope the employees are getting raises as well since "everything is going up." Nonetheless, I truly dislike fees but love the food here and the staff are always very friendly. 4 stars for the new "optional" fee

We always go to this restaurant as we love the food. One night we decided to go after a long day of work. We got there around 930pm and we got refused to sit on a table because they were soon closing at 10pm. They told us we could do take out and so we did. While we were waiting we saw a handful of tables being served. We thought these people were getting ready to leave. 10 mins later our food arrives and to our surprise right after food arrives for those people sitting on the tables. We wondered why they wouldn't sit us. Staff looked desperate to leave.

Don't order from there! Terrible service! They send you an incomplete order and when you call to complain they basically tell you that you are lying and the order was completed. The manager was unhelpful, rude and completely questioned me and called me a liar when I complained that my side of maduros was missing. Who would call and lie about a side of maduros!!! They could have handled this so much better but refused to deliver a new side, give me a refund or credit at the restaurant. Usually I don't give such bad reviews because of a simple mistake but when I'm treated the way I was treated for something that was simple to handle, then yes I will write about it and never order from there again!

Recently visited for a typical Colombian platter then spotted the entraña (skirt steak) and decided after getting it at some uruguayn and Argentinian spots to give it a shot. I'm so happy I did the skirt steak was massive! They had chimichurri to compliment it with rice and beans. It was so good, perfectly prepared the rest of my family had the usual dishes we order. Chicharron, rice beans steak the whole nine. For once I did not have food regret I ordered exceptionally well.

Came here after a day of work just to relax and get some food. When I tell you the food and drinks were AMAZING, it's because they were. You CAN NOT GO WRONG coming here.

This place has just gone down hill. I tried to give it a second chance but no. The food is not fresh and the food was just horrible. On top of it all the customer service here is just horrible.

RACIST! IN CONSISTENT FOOD QUALITY. This place is shameful. My father and I have come here multiple times and we've encountered awful behavior but he really likes the steak there so we go on occasion. The last time I ordered the breaded steak which was beyond DISGUSTING. It was rubbery and inedible. Another time I ordered a seafood rice and the shrimp was over cooked and flavorless, as if they mixed it in with yellow rice. It was so gross. On another occasion my father asked them to please lower the music and the bar tender raised it out of spite. These people are ENTITLED RACIST snobs and give horrible service. Today we had an issue with the manager Luz Mari who is nothing but a racist. She refused to seat my father and myself (both Black) claiming their rules don't allow her to sit less than 6 in a large table. She then said she does not care if we leave because she's not the owner. She tried to sit us outside in the most dimly lit, pathetic excuse for outdoor seating I've ever seen -- right next to the garbage!! The hostess was also rude and walked away as I was speaking to her. They looked down on us and it was clear they're racist. D O N 'T S P E N D Y O U R H A R D E A R N E D M O N E Y H E R E There are better places where you won't get treated as a second class citizen. The owner should fire both of them, manager and hostess. Instead of being grateful they're even still open after the pandemic this is how they treat their customers! There's never been a more unworthy place to spend time and money than Pollos Mario.

Awful food Iam Colombian first time trying this restaurant chicken had no flavor asked for grilled and it looked boiled don’t recommend. Its an insult for a Colombian.

This restaurant is is pretty small compared to their other restaurant/restaurants that they have; but that's beside the point. We got to this location 3pm and got inside around 3:30 due to the waiting on Father's Day, but once we got inside we were seated and given time to think what we wanted to order; the waiter came to take our order after 10 minutes of sitting us down (which isn't bad), but the time we had to wait for one plate to come out on to our table was an HOUR! There was this other family seated next to us with the same amount of people (5) that came in like 30 minutes after we came in; and they got there food first than we did!!Now for the rest of the dishes we had to wait another 30 minutes!! And on top of that the food wasn't cooked properly I ordered breaded chicken cutlet and the bread kept falling off every time I cut into it and it was really hard to cut and it also looked burnt a little, it also had so much oil that it was making all my French fries soggy with oil! Two other relatives of mine ordered steak and it was also still pretty hard to cut and bite into! To top it all off they were bringing us our check before we even finished our plates and I honestly toke that the wrong way because they brought our food super late! And they still have the audacity to to bring us our check before letting us finish our plates. Need I let you guys know that they weren't even that busy to be hurrying us up! Oh and they already include the 15% tip in the check! And instead of glass cups or hard plastic cups they give you paper cups to drink out of!! I really don't recommend coming to this place...

I've always enjoyed the food here as myself and family eat there often . Recently I went there with my kids and had our usual meals . Again I've been here many times and my bill is usually around 100.00 or so . Fast forward to the bill and I see the bottom says "tip not included " as always . I generally leave a 30.00 tip for a bill of this amount . I also noticed the bill seemed to be slightly higher so I originally thought it might be a price increase or a covid charge . However it seems a tip was added to my bill . This has never happened before and I felt insulted . Was I profiled ? Was it a mistake ? So I asked and the server says "When the bill is over 100.00 we add the tip" . I said ok I understand that however this has never happened before and my bill is almost always over 100.00. I still left 30.00 consisting of the 10 they added and 20 extra . I just don't understand why 10.00 in this case anyway is worth losing a customer . It clearly says "tip not included " on the bottom in English and Spanish yet they add a tip ? This is certainly illegal . A picture of my receipt is attached so all can see for themselves .

Disgusting Behavior yesterday: My take-out order was incorrect and when I called to inform the restaurant they treated me with contempt, suspicion and they were unapologetic. While trying to help out my local restaurants I decided to get take-out for dinner. I ordered several different items so I obviously wasn't going to go thru the bag to make sure everything was there, then again who does. My one year old's favorite food, the beans were missing . When I called I spoke to two people (Diana & Anabell) and one of them said to double check the bag because they remember putting the beans with the order, after I said I just checked, they INSISTED they were right and it had to be in the bag. I explained I only ordered one container of rice but I have two which could explain the mistake. Then they go on to abruptly say "Well we have NO NOBODY to drop off your missing item!" (with an attitude). The thought had not even come to mind that I would expect them to drive me one order of beans. I could have easily driven there because I knew they were busy. So after telling them i'll go pick up the item, they proceed to let me know that extra container of rice MUST be returned. At this point i'm a little shocked and trying to understand why they would want food back that has left their establishment. This is especially true with the all the Covid safety measures we are putting in place to keep people healthy. So my reasoning is they probably just want to see the extra container to verify the mistake. I drive back, mind you it's raining and cold. The hostess at their little walk-up window gives me the item and asks for the rice back. I don't know what they would do with this item because once it leaves the restaurant who knows what someone can do. I have been providing my support to this establishment for many years. I was insulted by the way the treated me over the phone, and disgusted at thier assumption that I was lying about a $5 container of beans when I spend hundreds of dollars here. And worse I am perturbed that they might take food returns and possibly give them back out to save on cost. It was unreal that I had to return back to the restaurant for their mistake and then offered very little sympathy or any gesture of remorse for my troubles. This place clearly doesn't understand how to keep customers happy.
