Foods okay, very generic tasting. Drinks are pretty weak. Came here to celebrate a birthday and they asked $35 for a small slice and candle

My absolute favorite. Their noodles really got that wok hei that Im looking for and their portion sizes are very generous. Also their mango sticky rice is a must try. They only put it on the menu when the mangos are perfectly sweet!

I ordered take out for the first time and the duck tamarind was phenomenal! I’ll definitely be back to try their other dishes. I’ve found my new favorite Thai restaurant in the neighborhood.

Great food, drinks were great but they did take a bit long to be made. A hidden gem. Service is great as well.

So glad that there is a local Thai place that opened up to compete with Tuk Tuk nearby. The ambiance is dimly lit, so it's easy to miss if you're just waking by. I've had the Roasted Duck Curry, Street Noodles, and Tom Yum Soup. The food at Rod Niyom is a bit more of the expensive side, but I still like to treat myself every once in a while here whenever I can. Service is attentive with the waitresses here.

I wanted to like this place because of the great reviews, but unfortunately, I've visited twice and the unaccommodating customer service is obstinate and the food isn't good enough to withstand it. I came with my husband, we asked if there was anything we could order without the additional soy sauce cooked in (my husband is low-sodium). With as extensive as the menu is, they simply said - The Pad Thai. When we asked if we could order something else, just hold the extra soy sauce, they said, and I quote: "The chef doesn't do that." We asked why not? Again: "The chef just doesn't do that." They were not even interested in trying. We were surprised. Okay....fine. We thought it was a little strange, because it doesn't take much to just not add in the soy sauce or salt, but okay, fine. We ordered, Hubby got the Pad Thai and I ordered the Panang. The food was just okay. The Thai tea was great. And we left. I visited alone today. I really wanted curried salmon and a thai tea. So, I asked for Salmon options, they gave me three on the menu. One mango and one grilled and a curried salmon. I noticed the salad that came with the grilled salad had a creamy dressing which sounded great. Their regular salad comes with a peanut dressing (I'm allergic to peanuts). So I ordered the curry salmon and asked for the separate side salad. But instead of the peanut dressing, I asked if I could do the creamy dressing. They said no. I asked why not? They said: "The peanut dressing is the default for that salad." I said - "What if I'm allergic to peanuts?" They said - "We can do a sweet vinegar." I didn't want a sweet vinegar, so I said that if they had the creamy dressing, I'd really like that substitute instead. They firmly said no. I found it SO weird that although they had different options for various things in the back, they simply were unwilling to accommodate - despite dietary restrictions, preferences or allergies. I said okay and changed my order to the grilled salmon with the creamy dressing. And I asked for a side of their Panang curry to go with the salmon. I told them that it was totally ok, if it's extra. They point blank told me that I'd have to order the Panang salmon as a completely different entree, if I wanted the Panang curry on the side. I got up and left. To me, that's just too much. I won't be returning. After the previous experience, my husband wasn't interested in coming back and now I'm not either. I see an unpalatable trend here. And I have absolutely no interest in spending money at a place that isn't 'incapable' of making adjustments....they are absolutely unwilling. I was so turned off by their unaccommodating attitude, I had to leave a review. No, thank you. To me, service and experience are EVERYTHING at a restaurant. This kind of service says volumes about this restaurant.

I've tried Ros Niyom a few times for takeout now and i'm writing this review to remind myself to stop trying. My default when trying a new thai restaurant is the pad thai. But i've also tried to diversify in the past few efforts to see if maybe my experience was a one-off. It wasn't. The Pad Thai is... not good. The Roti Massaman seemed promising and the flavors are definitely good - but the roti itself was tiny in portions vs the soup sized massaman(?) and so deeply greasy that it was just not enjoyable. Same for the basil fried rice. The thai dumplings and puffs were also sub-par which just has lent to an overall - wonder - is it just takeout and not like this in person (thus the many 5 star reviews?). Their spring rolls with peanut sauce, not hard to mess up, stand true. But the rest, has me looking for another thai place from now on.

I’ve ordered from here a handful of times. Was very impressed the first few times, but the last two deliveries the curry (masaman) was watery. The first times I ordered it was amazing, rich and creamy. Please go back to the original way you made it.
