I came in with my family and they refused to seat us. They asked if I had a res, I didn't. They said the only seats available is in the "lounge" area which is a couch by the door. I asked when is the next available opening, someone else walked over and said that's the only seat they had. Now, being black and being told I can't get a seat really doesn't fit. They refused to give us proper service and they said the only seat they had was by the door, no table, with a toddler? DO NOT GIVE THE PLACE ANY BUSINESS.

It’s a pretty restaurant with aggressively bad service. The food is not bad, but Dai Hachi has them beat on fish by a mile.I’ve given them 3 chances across 2 years, always feel like I wasted my money.

Wonderful view of city skyline coupled with amazing food and services making this place a must visit. The menu is diverse from several styles of Asian cuisine, Thai, Northern Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, all with quality ingredients, cook with passion for the American palate. Their drink menu is amazing and the Lychee Martini is heavenly! Most importantly the portion great for the reasonably priced items. I would either take a cab or subway. Parking is not easy!Kid-friendliness: A place for families of all size!

It was bad experience. Nobody was in the restuarant. We waited 45 for sushi. When we were awaiting the sushi they delivered the fish. The management would let us know to order something else so we didn't have to wait 45 minutes. Also,they have to upgrade interior furniture. It looks like it is from the opening of the resturant more than 10 years ago.

Food was too salty, have had this dish each time I've patronized this establishment and it was way too much. We usually have a very nice waiter whom we tip well but tonight this women was very rude I felt like she didn't want to serve us. I won't be visiting Shi anytime soon ...

Have gotten takeout here many times, and just had my first dine in experience. The food was even better hot & fresh! The staff was kind and attentive, and the ambiance was lovely with incredible skyline views. It's oddly reasonable for top quality sushi but expensive for their standard Chinese dishes, so overall evened it out!

This place is always solid. Drinks are always good. I’ve been coming here for a few years now. I do wish they would step up their cocktails.Parking: It’s LIC so be prepared to drive around for parking or pay for a parking garage
The overall ambience is GREAT. The music & the vibe was great! The food was okay. I'm a big sushi girl and felt it could he better however the shrimp tempura and the spicy snow crab rolls were 10/10. The drinks were straight liquor.
