We liked it! The Khao Soi is a little different than I'm used to. It had more spices, a bit less creamy. My DC had the Duck Tamarind, he said it was very good. I'll keep it in mind the next time we're up for Thai. I want to try the Green Curry, and the soft shell crab.

I've ordered from Kitchen 79 a bunch of times, as I work in Jackson Heights. I'm a big fan of their lunch specials. The prices are fair and the portions are a decent size. My go-to's are the Pad Thai and the Pineapple Fried Rice. Each dish has really great flavors. The lunch specials also come with an appetizer. We normally get a spring roll and a crab rangoon. The prices are fair and the serving sizes are pretty average. Overall, it's always a very good lunch.

Thai done right! Ready, set, RUNNN to Kitchen 79 for some amazing & authentic Thai food. Whether it's lunch or dinner, this place never disappoints. Lunch special till 4pm is a steal - appetizer + entree at a great price. We're already planning our next visit for more food adventures Swipe to see the mouthwatering dishes up close!

The crispy duck salad was delicious, with ample amount of the protein. The papaya salad was not to my liking though. Way too much sauce and lacking spice. Good but not what was expected.

Great food! Even better service! The lunch deals are truly deals and we were even kindly given free Thai Iced Teas! Will definitely be returning!

One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to in America. I'm from Malaysia and have visited Thailand more times than I can count and have always been disappointed by American Thai restaurants. But not at Kitchen 79. The pad see ew is possibly the best I've had in the US. It was saucy without being too wet, the flavors were just right, not too salty or bland. The other dishes were spectacular but the pad see ew really took the prize (and I only tried one bite of my friend's plate!) The service was excellent and the waiters were joking with us throughout the evening. They were very attentive and since the entire staff was Thai, I really could feel the authenticity through the food! The ambiance was nice and relaxing, not too crowded or loud. There was even a nice wall for guests to take photos next to. I can't wait till the next time I'm in the Jackson Heights area because this restaurant was incredible. Thankfully we couldn't get into the restaurant we had originally planned to go to and found our way into Kitchen 79!

Thai food here is an introduction to a experience of food from an area most people that live here but don't travel Staff helpful with the menu and the food is very fresh and good. The room cozy and warm. Prices are inviting

I really enjoyed the chicken pad thai take out here! Fresh, chewy noodles, just the right balance of sauce, crushed peanuts, and bean sprouts. Staff were very friendly, and there was a very trendy and updated interior design!

Service is good, vibe is good. Went on a weekday night and there wasn't that many tables. Thai ice tea and ice green tea are good price for it's portion! Green curry also pretty good portion, I like how there's actually a lot of curry. Fried calamari coating was crispy but too hard bite in, salmon was not an amazing flavor to me. Chicken satay is relatively dry too.

Delicious authentic Thai food, great service, and nice ambiance! This is a small lovely restaurant that us great for taking a date, eating with family, or getting takeout. The decor inside is modern and relaxed. The server was able to explain the meaning behind the Thai food names, too. They also serve a larger variety of Thai food here that I haven't seen in other Thai restaurants. I look forward to going back to try their other dishes!

Kitchen 79 is an authentic Thai cuisine located in elmhurst. The fried calamari was my favorite. Very tender and juicy I highly recommend. The chicken satay pairs so well with the peanut sauce. I wished they gave more sauce for the gang pheromones per yaang and the duck could be a bit more crispy but overall very delicious. The waiter was very sweet and looked out for us so we don't over order. The atmosphere is very nice perfect for a date night. Extra Good came fastServer was sweet and patient Atmosphere is aesthetic
