My partner and I have been coming to Susuru, more or less once a week, for about a year now. It’s « our spot » we love it. We get the same order every time, miso ramen and spicy tuna poke. I usually get a lucky cup sake as well. We love the takoyaki as well, but all their apps are great. The atmosphere is incredible. We love the going on a quiet, rainy day around lunch time.

This is my goto place when it's raining. Amazing ramen. Susuru paitan ramen with corn is my go to!

Such a gem and a cozy ramen place. Came here today on a Saturday afternoon because was craving for noodles/ramen due to rainy/windy weather. We got seated right away and it got packed in one hour. We ordered fried chicken and takoyaki to start with. Both of the appetizers were great! Chicken was covered by cheese. We ordered the original ramen and miso ramen. I didn't really like the texture of the pork, ramen and soup base was great. Will definitely come back again.

A small gem! Delicious ramen and super savory, tasty small dishes — like the sesame drenched cucumber or salty fried chicken karaage. It's a cozy snug of a space too.

visited here on a rainy Saturday night had to wait up to 30 minutes but it was well worth it. Not sure if they allow you to call ahead but there is a paper you write your name on. Onto the food, it was perfect, and exactly what I was craving, will definitely be going back.

The gloomy and rainy weather inspired me to have some ramen today. Walking into Susuru, the restaurant looks very simple. The walls are lined with plywood. The tables appear to be made of scrap wood and finished with a thick, transparent coating. Most of the seating is compromised of short wooden stools. It's certainly not intended to be a place to lounge around or glamour at the decor. This is a place you come for ramen. I arrived shortly after opening on a weekday. There was couple before me and another gentleman who walked in afterwards. Everyone ordered the ramen. While I was there, I noticed a continuous stream of delivery orders; it seems this a busy takeout spot too. Lots of credit to the hostess who was also the waitress, buser, cleaner, and order-fulfiller. It's a small but mighty operation. I opted for the hallmark item: the Susuru paitan ramen. I requested the additions of nori and a spicy chili oil at $1 each bringing the bowl and those two additions to a total of $18. I skipped on beverages though they do have a limited offering of craft beers, Japanese beers, and sake. Every element of the ramen was delicious! I'm not sure if I was super hungry or craving ramen for a while, but everything just seemed perfect to me. Starting the rich, badge colored chicken based broth. Very savory broth with medium viscosity. It's one of the lightest, opaque broths I've come across. I wouldn't have guessed it was chicken based with how fatty and creamy it tasted. The roasted pork chasho was decadent. The quality pork would seem just as fitting on an upscale charcuterie plate as it does in the bowl. The soft, fatty bits of the pork were my favorite. The bowl also came with a medium soft boiled and then chilled egg. The inclusion reminded me of a century egg. Despite the colder day, I liked the thermal contrast the cold egg provided in comparison to the hot soup. Not to be overlooked were the bamboo shoots. I believe these might have been pickled. They provided a nice crunch to the dish. I liked the additions of the nori and chili oil though they are in no way necessary. Lastly, we cannot forget about the eggy ramen noodles which were cooked to a chewy al dente. These were so good that I wouldn't be made at you for ordering the brothless mazeman. Service was fairly quick considering it was a very busy and possibly understaffed operation. There was one gender neutral restroom which I believe was handicap accessible.

This is one of those great hole-in-the-wall places in Queens that is always packed and has amazing food and service. The team got our party of 5 seated quickly and shuffled to get us in. Food was fantastic. I highly reccommend Susuru to anyone nearby. Can't go wrong with any item on the menu or with the server suggetions.

The food was so amazing I didn't have time to take proper photos. Had pork gyoza, & tantan ramen. We also got a shrimp katsu bun, which was also insanely good. I def want to go back and try all the other stuff on the menu.

The purpose of this review is not to hate or harm this restaurant in any way, shape, or form. That being said, I hope you take this review as an informative review.Atmosphere: I haven't really been to many Japanese restaurants, but it felt like a calm and relaxing place. Very clean and organized. I do want to say that the exterior of the restaurant needs to have its name highlighted a bit more. Thus, it can be more noticeable for customers.Service: The lady was really attentive when I walked in. Food came out in a timely manner. The only thing that took a bit long was paying for it. So, I had to take the bill to the lady and pay it. She was also having her meal, so it's understandable.Food: I ordered the Miso Ramen and the Crispy Takoyaki. The ramen broth was flavorful, and the rest of the ingredients were as well. The Crispy Takoyaki was hot and well done. The octopus from the Takoyaki was not too chewy or hard to chew. Overall, I was pleased with my order.Price: Honestly, their prices are decent. You get adequate portions and good enough flavors.

Wonderful tasty ramen. The kuru and tantan were delicious. Small low key place - only a few tables.
