The best Thai food in NYC, and I’m NOT JOKING! Service is amazing, provided by servers who are upbeat and willing to make a conversation and advise. Food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Please do yourself a favor and order fish and som tum Thai! It is the best salad you’ll have, spicy and crispy ♥️?? p.s. Thai tea is an absolute DREAM ✨

The food was great. The service was ok. Myself and my friends are visiting from outside NY. And we tip based on extraordinary service. That's just us. However, that doesn't mean the employee should call us out on not tipping "enough."

Incredible meal. Totally unique. We had green curry, duck larb, and the half chicken. We’re still talking about it days later. Can’t wait to come back and try the crab curry.

Very authentic Isaan food. We had Tom Ka Gai soup which was spicy and delicious. The rib eye beef is another must. Service is fast and the waiter was very nice. High recommend

We had been planning to visit Zaab Zaab Elmhurst location for a while and finally got a chance last weekend. Their decor is cozy like home with limited tables but the wait wasn’t too bad.We heard their Thai style grilled chicken is one of the recommendations from Bib Gourmand so we had Gai Yang Vichean which came with 2 different types of Som Tum, lettuce, sauce and rice to share. The portion of the chicken was more than enough for 4. It’s a little dry but amazingly delicious to enjoy with unique sauces. It came with 2 different salads and I love the classical Som Tum Thai. One of our favorites tonight was their Kau Lau Hotpot which the ingredients were various with great portion. The broth was sweet and the meat texture was braised soft.

Michelin-Bib Zaab Zaab, a Thai restaurant in Elmhurst, has some of the best Isaan local dishes. Their staffs here serve you with a big smile with fantastic service that comes from the heart. Zaab Zaab has the best grilled chicken ever maybe that’s why there’s a beautiful chicken wallpaper on the ceiling, lots of chicken figurines, and delicious grilled chicken hanging through their open windows. Thai iced tea and coffee are both super strong with a perfect balance of milk. Not overpowering at all. The Tom Zaab is super deliciously spicy. The Gao Yang Vichean Buri combo is the amazingly taste grilled chicken which also comes with a papaya salad. Flavorful and tender chicken with a crispy skin paired with two different dipping sauces. Sounds delicious right? Go try and experience a different kind of grilled chicken.Thai Iced TeaThai Cold BrewTom Zaab Khreung Nai 22Gai Yang Vichean Buri & Table Side Som Tum 75

Probably the best thai spot around. Casual, tropical decor within. There is patio seating as well. Good for small or large groups. Food/Drink: Don't come here for what you might find elsewhere - pad thai, pad kee mao, etc!! They do offer a shrimp pad thai but this place is known for way more than that. All the food is super flavorful - both sour and spicy. They do not hold back on the spice. Papaya salad - they make it fresh with a mortar and pestle and it was SO spicy. It was too spicy for most of the party.Crab fried rice - you get chunks of crab with egg and scallion fried rice. So delicious and good portion of crab with the rice.Neur yang (crying tiger) - probably my favorite dish. The beef is cooked to the perfect medium rare and it is super tender and flavorful. Larb - Also quite spicy but goes so well with rice and the lettuce/greens that it comes with. Tom Som Gai - tom yum soup that comes in a hot pot. The spice is so incorporated into the flavor of the broth and it hits you at the end, and it is so deceiving as the broth is not very red. Whole fish - there's a couple options but we ended up with the salt-encrusted tilapia. It comes on a banana leaf and there are noodles and veggies to wrap as well. It was a fun experience to eat but not my go-to as it was a little salty and so many bones, which I am too lazy to work with.Fried pork belly - it is as advertised. Fried pork belly. So delicious and complemented so well by the sauce.Service: They are super nice and walk you through the menu with much knowledge. They also warn you about the spice as well and it is not underplayed for sure!! Price: A little on the pricier side, given the dishes (beef, fish, crab) but justified and the food itself is so worth it.

Zaab Zaab is a Thai chain that has a few locations throughout NYC. This one is located in central Queens, home to one of the most diverse populations in the world. Unlike typical Thai chains, this restaurant feels very authentic to Thai cuisine. The vibes were immaculate as they often have a live musician playing in the background while you are enjoying your food. Depending on when you come, there may be a wait so make sure to call beforehand because the place can get busy. We ordered a few items. We ordered the fish, fried rice, lettuce wrap, the kapow beef, and a few more. I will note that the food is spicy. As someone who is okay with mild spice, this food was definitely a bit more spicy than I would've liked. The portions were well sized and we served this family style so that we were able to try a few of the dishes. Some of the highlights were the lettuce wraps and the chicken - the meat was incredibly tender and well seasoned. The prices are a little higher than your usual Queens restaurant pricing but definitely worth it. Food: 4/5Service: 5/5Price: 3.5/5
