VFGS is my Thursday place to be for lunch with an old friend. The atmosphere is welcoming and eclectic; there is always new and interesting merchandise to peruse. Been here a handful of times and absolutely adore this place. The chocolate chip cookies with sea salt are life changing and worth the drive from anywhere in the capital region. They are crunchy while somehow still slightly gooey in the middle and balanced perfectly with quality salt.The shop is the perfect place to visit when seasons are changing and you want to redecorate the interior or exterior of your home. Updated review/March 2024: VFGS continues to impress. The Americano is always spot on (unlike their peers), the scones are always spot on, staff is ALWAYS pleasant (unlike everywhere else) and they are super community focused with workshops and other community events including an owl display and a variety of classes.
