Literally in dudes basement - could smell the basement as soon as you walked in; the food was depressing just like the place itself - terrible parking -- super over priced and dude gets away with it bc it's Rhinebeck -- 10/10 won't be back again. Needs an update in the decor and possibly even a new venue for the restaurant itself.

Attentive service. Delicious food

The Tasting Room is a unique experience where one eats in the home of a renownedchef offering three delicious appetizers, three main meals and three desserts, all fresh ( the advantage of limiting meal choice) and from locally grown farms. Imagine your brother or uncle is a Michelin level gourmand has you over for dinner You chat with him while he is cooking, smell the aromas emanating from the kitchen and then delight in an amazing meal We shared two salads, beet and endive with blue cheese, chicken ( maybe the best i ever ate) and a healthy sized filet mignon, and then decided we could not pick among the 3 desserts so enjoyed them all This is a place you will want to go back to over and over I was jealous of the waiter who got to eat there nightly 5 stars

A true hidden gem. From the food to the service you will forget the essence of the atmosphere and remember not to judge a book by it's cover.Parking: Plenty of parking as you follow the parking signs.

This place is foodie HEAVEN! Everything you want from a great restaurant this place has. Nice and tucked away off a main road. You immediately feel like you're dining inside of somebody's home. Gorgeous inside and outside seating. Changing menu always exquisitely thought out. The chef is always bringing new recipes/ingredients from places he travels to. This place is the best way to have a fine dining experience!

This place reminds me of 1980’s “fine” dining. There is such a masquerade being pulled her and it fools a lot of people who can not see past the pretentiousness held by the host and chef. This place is in someone’s basement for god’s sake, and not in the cool underground way but in weird, “never left your mom’s basement vibe”. The food is so basic. Just garnish it with a balsamic reduction and all of a sudden it’s high end.Vegetarian options: Th “chef” makes his own

Just finished dinner at The Tasting Room. Service was exceptional. Food was great. My husband and I enjoyed our evening and will definitely return in the future. Thank you so much!

Celebrated my birthday here last night and it was definitely one of the best meals I’ve had! “An explosion of flavors” is a pretty accurate description for this place. I also loved that it was so intimate and unique. Great service as well!

Wonderful experience! You would never think there is a restaurant in the basement walk-out.l of someone's home. When you walk into the restaurant you transform into a small upscale bistro. The food is fantastic and so is the service beverage. I highly recommend. They made a birthday dinner memorable!Thank Chef!

This is a small but definitely personal setting with a limited but excellent menu. Everything was prepared and presented beautifully. Will definitely return.

Great service and delicious food. Loved the small menu and friendly service. I found this gem via great reviews on Yelp and it didn't dissappoint my parents (from DC) and me (from Hartford, CT). We were a little surprised from the road and almost drove right past it! It is surprising hidden in a cute setting behind the owner's house. Lovely gardens. Can't wait to return! There are only 6 tables so be sure to reserve!

I ate at this restaurant expecting a delicious meal. My meal was nothing special and pricey. I don’t understand the glowing reviews. The overall food, presentation didn’t say CIA. I wonder if there has been a of ownership or if the chef was on vacation.

Small and cozy spot off the main path. Small but eclectic menu and six tables in a basement setting. Entrance is around the back of the house at ground level. Food and service were both outstanding. Worth a try!

Fantastic!!!! Chef Daniel knocks it out of the park with spectacular tastings of local food and flavors. The waitress, who I regrettably forget her name is and absolute whipper snapper and makes the experience just that much more fun. My friend and I ate with my parents and couldn't have had more fun.

I've known Chef Daniel a long time so you may think this review is going to be slanted in his favor. Well, if it wasn't a meal I was impressed with, I would say nothing. I haven't been back to the Tasting Room since Covid. While I know and love everything Danny cooks is top notch, I am such a fan of his Ramen. The layers of flavors are ethereal. The broth is complex and has a story to tell. The meal is a journey into a process which has many facets. The broth, the quality of the noodles, the jewels that embellish the dish.... The chili oil warms your soul with flavors you can't quite identify, multi dimensional not just spicy. The Bao Buns that start the meal are so delicious, I hesitate to describe because I just can go overboard with more compliments. This Ramen is truly an act of love by this person.
