The lemon and blueberry scone is out of this world! The inside is so moist and the flavors balance each other out without being too sweet.? Their flank steak and portobello salad is definitely worth the $15 price as there are a quite a lot of steak pieces.

I’ve heard so much about Goodman Bakes and finally made it there this morning. What a delightful bakery! The space is small, cozy & welcoming. The service was excellent - patient, friendly and helped me with my selections. The cherry on top was when I arrived home & sampled each of the scones, cookies & croissants that I purchased - an incredible for my taste buds! I’ll be making a weekly stop at Goodness Bakes!!

Always love stopping here on the weekend when we're out and about and picking up a few treats. I don't think we've ever left without finding something we wanted.

Stopped in to get a cake for the school we partner with in Rochester. Awesome customer service. While I didn't get a chance to try the cake, I'll be back to check out this gem.

OMG, went here this morning for something quick and came out loving everything we tasted. These were some of the best pastries I have had anywhere in the world!! I cannot wait to go back and try something new. Try the granola pie....ok, anything you try you will love! I know I did.

This is a small bakery on East Ave. They have varieties baked goodies. I love their cheese and guava Pastelillos, crispy and fluffy puff pasties.

Absolutely my most favorite new bakery in Rochester! The quality of the baked goods, and the often unique take on favorites make this place an absolute standout. They usually offer 2 lunch options as well, and you are guaranteed something deeply flavorful, yummy and satisfying. I love little businesses like this, the team is so sweet and there is a sense of real care with each ingredient. Well worth the price, especially if you want to treat yourself a little. Super cute spot right next door to the Little Theatre!

I ordered 30 pies for my wedding. Process was easy, selection of choices was broad and wonderful. Lucas bent over backwards to make things happen. Goodman Bakes was one of the best additions to my wedding. All the guests were blown away. Best pies in the city.

I’m giving 5 stars based on the customer service alone!! We walked in, very welcoming off the bat, gave us a very generous taste of a delicious cake we didn’t even order! So without really tasting much, they already have my vote!!

Stopped in today to sample some sweet and savory pastries, and, honestly, do a compare against some of our other faves in town (Black Cat Baking & Flour City), based on strong recommendations from a number of friends who are fans of Lucas's. We were very happy with everything we tried: -- the savory spinach-mushroom-dill-feta scone ($4.50 and worth every penny) was perfection in taste and texture; -- the almond croissant ($6) was as-good-as my go-to at Flour City, though shaped more like a chocolate-croissant than the almond croissant Flour City does; -- the guava pastelito ($5) was super yum and a good size for the price (can not ever have enough guava); and -- the lemon-pistachio sweet bun (sticky bun) ($6) had great flavor and a good amount of sweet glaze, plus was pretty large (we split it into 4 pieces). Offerings here change all the time, and at 9 am on a Sat, there was a nice selection of cookies, pastries, scones, pies and lunch-type items. I have heard he sells what he has each day til he runs out, so if you want the best selection, try to get there early. Note that we did not see anything vegan or gluten free, but we also did not ask, because, although Lucas was there, in back, baking, the person up front who helped us did not seem to know what anything was, and since the place was busy, and she had to keep going in back to ask questions, we didn't want to continue to hold everyone else up. Next time!
