Food is great and I love the space. I did not like my server who wouldn't stop hovering. We felt like she was kicking us out! She stopped filling our water glasses, we were only there for an hour!

Dinner for three. Ordered: 2 apps (fagioli soup and meatballs) Caesar salad Chicken cutlet w ala carte side smashed sunchokes. Veal parm. Pasta bolognese - Soup good -meatballs needed knife and dry as sawdust. Came w 3. We ate 2. Not good. - chicken cutlet overcooked and dry sunchoke side good - veal parm good however the marinara was watery and just meh. - Bolognese was good. Overall food was marginal at best for price point. The real issue was the service. All food above was brought together all at the same time. Both apps, salad and all three entrees were brought out by 3 servers. When I voiced my displeasure our server said oh you didn't want all of this as your appetizers? Ummm, what? No. Her response was oh sorry for the misunderstanding. Maybe it's a Rochester thing to order 3 courses and have them all come out at same time and cover the entire table like a Las Vegas buffet. But I doubt it. This is my first OpenTable review this low. Will not be back. At $183 before tip for the above go elsewhere. This place won't last.

Food was good, and our server, Doris, was lovely. But the portion sizes are laughably small - $24 for what amounts to a saucer or bolognese. The assistant food and beverage manager, Matthew, insisted that all portions are weighed out - though another person in our party had noticeably more on his plate. Regardless of what the chef says, you easily could have made this right - not by buying me a dessert, which I didn’t want - but by simply bringing out more of the food your chef skimped on. We were also totally puzzled by the chef’s decision to put feta on the kids’ grilled cheese; it didn’t melt, tasted way too strong for a kid, and cost $12! Why even have a kids’ menu? Will not come here again and I hope those reading this think twice about going, too.

Food is good. portions are tiny and overpriced Assistant food and beverage manager, Matthew, could improve in customer satisfaction by not challenging diners. Grappa is not a fancy place; the snooty factor needs to be taken a notch.

Server was excellent and inspired us to try the grappa which as delicious. The only disappointment was that the pasta was over sauced and was not allowed to be the star of the show! I will come again and order the same dish but with the peas to or sauce on the side so I can appreciate the work of the pasta maker?

We had a great lunch. Food was excellent. Service was terrific. However, the hostess came over to ask if we liked our meal about 5-6 times. It was extremely disruptive. Felt like we had to be in the look out before we took a bite of food - we weren't sure if she would be coming to ask us if we liked it! Super annoying. Have the hostess stand behind her podium where she belongs.

Not a lot of Gluten Free options but a fun atmosphere. If you’re in a pinch fine, but not my first choice.I’ve been a couple of times and ordered both a GF pizza and GF pasta dish. All in all, nothing too special or tasty. I’m grateful they have a few options, but not overly impressed by the quality for the price.Last time I went the service was friendly and well paced. I did appreciate how the manager came out and double checked what information I needed for ordering, but this happened after I placed my order with the server.Grappa has a fun environment and nice tables both inside and out. There’s plenty of parking at College Town but can fill fast depending on the time and day of work.Dietary restrictions: Offers a few gluten free options

Nice competent waitress, very attentive but not in the way. We all ordered basic dishes, but they were quite good, arrived hot and tasty. The 2 serving apple pie desert was awesome, overall a great dinner at a nice place

While Grappa might not be a five-star restaurant, it has a five-star bar. We were there on a late afternoon Friday happy hour. This joint was jumpen! Packed with revelers of all shapes and sizes, Grappa transformed from a nice hotel bar to a destination cocktail lounge rivaling any watering hole in Rochester. Kenzie and the bar manager Tom were the only two bartenders/servers in the place, and they worked their butts off. I was exhausted just watching them. Their work ethic was motivating. We ordered pizza and it was pretty darn good considering. My cocktail was mixed well and was a generous pour. Grappa could stand alone as a bar and survive well without the Hilton moniker.
