It was very depressing the owner himself cooked a chicken biryani what the menu saysbut I felt it was khicdi of chicken tikka and fried rice with khicdi rice and watery potato. and bell pepper and onion added to itwell a total disappointment.we came all the way from buffalo as per looking for Indian cuisine restaurant, from Toronto well not so good memories anyways.

Stopped in after work around 5:30. Got the beef birayani and an order of garlic naan. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and my food was prepared quickly.Omg the rice was incredibly flavorful! The beef was delicious as well. Comes with a small serving of potatoes in a tasty curry sauce. 10/10!
The food is so authentic and good it’s a must try way worth the money, couldn’t eat all at once had to get eat it in two different settings.

It's a good place if your looking for some real Indian food, really only for takeout though. There is some seating inside but it's mainly for takeout. Food comes in plastic dishes, which is not preferred if your looking to eat in.. But the food speaks for itself.. Chicken tikki masala is quite nice. To sum it up, if your looking to grab a quick bite to go, this is your place. If your looking to eat in I would search somewhere else.

Great Indian food. They have yellow rice here and the Naan and Chloe was delicious. Definitely going to be back.

Ordered the paneer tikka wrap to go. First of all, menu says item comes with fries but no fries were given. The paneer itself was bland and soupy and was dripping out of the naan, making it look unappealing and definitely messy to eat. There wasn't much flavor in the paneer either.

A favorite since I moved to Rochetser! Loyal for 15 years!
Located right near the university and downtown Rochester. The naan was meh but the lamb curry I ordered was quite good. Would recommend for anyone picking up Indian around Rochester.

I normally love this place, but I have no idea what happened. I'm not sure if they have a different chef today or something but my food was so horrible I literally had to throw it out. it had no taste and no flavor at all. Whoever made my dish (beef biryani and aloo gobhi) evidently had no idea what they were doing; it was just so bad. normally i love this place and my food is always delicious so I'm extremely disappointed.

I've had far better Indian food. The chicken makhani was soupy and barely had any flavor and not a lot of chicken....when you get Indian food you expect lots of flavor, this chicken makhani tastes like it was watered down to stretch the batch further which I'm almost positive it was. I got 4 samosas and only got enough chutney for 1. I didn't get my naan bread with my order either that would've been helpful to soak up the bland soupy Makhani sauce. After that health department fiasco at the South Clinton avenue location a couple of years ago I thought I'd give India house another chance. Looks I'll be sticking with Taj Mahal for Indian food. India House lost me as a customer again.

Food was great; My boyfriend who lives in Toronto decided as a way to celebrate our anniversary we would purchase each other dinner for the special night. I was a little worried that the food might not be that good; But the worst that might happened would be I don't eat everything and then just toss the rest. But everything was extremely tasty, to be honest some of the best I have had in Rochester.
