Stopped in with a group of friends, shared a few food dishes, Paella was delicious, perfect for sharing Shrimp tacos, yummy with a great burst of flavor Charred octopus was just ok, I've enjoyed better Dessert was a hit, churros for the win! We enjoyed cocktails and beer, the bar scene was really a cool vibe. I wouldn't come back and chill there.

Man where to start? I've been to Ox and Stone many times and loved it. This time was awful. Service was slow, uninterested. Took maybe 20 mins to get our drinks, and apps came out before drinks. Somehow the drinks weren't even good. Margarita tasted like it was made with mix and it came in some weird Terra cotta pot thing. Tacos eventually came and I paid $17 for two mediocre tacos. I swear, last time I went to Ox and Stone it was 3 tacos and they were great. Paid $8.50 each for two tacos I could have made with my eyes closed. Ultimately ended up getting desert (thinking it couldn't all be bad) and the cheesecake had to have been store bought. Bland, boring, expensive. Very disappointed with ox and stone. Sold me half the experience for the full price. I'd be hard pressed to go back.

This was a bad experience. We got to Ox and Stone and there was no host for 3 minutes but thats okay the host arrived later and we asked for outside seating. She told us we would have to wait until seating became available so we decided to wait at the bar and get a drink. The bar only had 2 other people when we sat down, 5 minutes into waiting i had to stop someone who i assumed to be a busser and ask for a drink menu. We proceeded to wait 20 more minutes before someone asked us what drink we wanted and also provided us water. But before that, i said excuse me at least 4 times, trying to grab who i assumed to be busser's attention to see who we could ask for a drink. The busser ignored every "excuse me". The margaritas we got were good but 30 mins to get a marg is pretty long. As we sat at the bar we were waiting for an outside table to open because it was nice out. We saw a table open up, maybe 5-10 mins of the table being open we asked can we sit at the open table outside. And they got around to getting the table ready maybe after another 10 minutes. As i am writing these i am realizing not one server, and there were many, so they were not short staffed, not one server introduced themselves. No names were given, no name tags were used. The hostess did not introduce herself, none of our servers introduced themselves and we had 3 different servers throughout our experience. Anyway we had mussels as an appetizer they were good and came out at a reasonable time. We put our order in for our entrees which were tacos, and waited over hour for a total of 5 tacos. While waiting, one couple who sat down received two glasses of water, they maybe waited 10 minutes and noticed no server came at that time and they told the server that finally came around that they were leaving. Another couple who got the outside table right before my girlfriend and i seemed like they were waiting for something, well when i was told one of the tacos i ordered was not available, the couple called that server over and said "we were told we cant get this taco...." i didnt hear the rest but i saw a different server bring their check shortly after. I mention all this to say i dont think they just took very long with us. My girlfriend asked me at one point does it seem like there is a lot of people and all of them are doing nothing. She was right. So we waited over an hour for 5 tacos, and the kicker is those 5 tacos cost about $50. We paid for our drinks and mussels at the bar earlier so the second check we saw was strictly for the tacos. And the check started its suggested tipping amounts at 22%. Lord have mercy. I do my best not to complain and speak bad about people, things or places but this experience was pretty bad and i felt like it needed to be shared. I truly do not recommend. I should've known when i tried to call before arriving to see if there was available seating and no one picked up that the service would be the way it was.

Great food! Never had anything that was low quality! Flavorful and delicious! Good service. My go to place for meals and happy hour!

This was a DEPLORABLE culinary experience, if you can call it that. We went back to the location of our first date, hoping to repeat the experience. I have never been so disappointed. We were trapped at the top of the stairs in a table for two subject to constant drafts of wind. Nobody came to serve us. Every time we were asking the busboy or hostess to find our waitress. The food came out IMMEDIATELY. It underwent ZERO preparation. The shrimp tacos were three tiny shrimp on a tiny tortilla covered in cilantro. My seven year old could do better. The chicken enchiladas had a heavy dump of salt in them rendering them dry and so salty they were inedible. We ate the chips and the bread and spent half an hour trying to get our bill so we could escape. You couldn't pay me to go back.

Good service, great atmosphere, decent food. We went on taco Tuesday and the tacos were a bit bland and slightly cold. We also got empanadas and guacamole. The empanadas were really good. I wish this place was more focused on Spanish food instead of Latin American food.

Ambiance is unique, photos in the bar area always look excellent. My favorite is their mezcal margarita with smoked salt. Tried paella for the table, which was excellent- cooked perfectly with ample seafood. Fajitas are both steak & chicken (only) and were extremely over seasoned. Service was friendly, but a bit slow for the number of patrons.

I used to love this place but now they charge 3% more than the prices listed. And this isn't a cash vs. credit surcharge either. It's just fine print on the bottom of the menu that says the prices are actually 3% higher. What the....? I won't be back. Food sucked anyway.

We paid $1500 for 15 people for an engagement dinner primarily made up of paella, a couple of appetizers and some wine. I think we were upcharged because we made the mistake of mentioning an engagement. At most that should have been $700.

Tried to go to swan dive but it was packed full of kids and playing kes$ha and pitbull so we left. Walked across the street, no good seats at the bar. Hostess was a little rude and stuffy but got a table. Server was great and a newbie as she mentioned to us. Got plenty of tapas, too many! Thought the tapas would be lighter in fare but many had hidden bread/fried items/butter. Shishitos should be an app. Salsa is fantastic, chips taste like fried dough. Drink came out after food. Ambiance is great and lighting is romantic.

I am sad to leave this one star review as I typically love Ox and Stone, but did you all know that Ox and Stone charges to reserve tables for parties larger than 8?! When I originally called to reserve a table for 15, the woman on the phone told me that it was just a deposit and that it would be fully refunded once my entire party has arrived. Well, this occurred on Feb 17th (11 days ago) and I have yet to receive my refund. I've tried calling the restaurant and sending emails but I have not had anyone return my messages. Please someone, make it make sense!! Why would I pay you an extra $10 per person when I am helping your restaurant out by bringing customers/business. I honestly wouldn't have a problem if they were upfront with this information, but to lie and tell me I would be refunded and then never get my money back is deceitful. Anyways, just wanted to make you all aware that there are other businesses who will reserve a space for your party and not charge you or be deceitful about it.

Another "better" restaurant bites the dust. This once fine dining experience has fallen by the wayside and being a part of the Swan Family of establishments, it was very disappointing.Apologies to the Chef, the food was delicious, sadly overshadowed by the experience, we unfortunately did not even mention the food until we were leaving because the rest of the experience became the focal point of the evening. Our server greeted us promptly and reviewed the special for the evening. Because our group is large and made up of couples, we asked that our checks be split by couple so to secure the proper breakdown. Our server advised that they don't have the capability to do separate checks and that we were welcome to figure it out ourselves once the overall bill came. I found this to be odd, because Ox & Stone had been a favorite destination in the past for us as a large group and this request was always accommodated, not to mention the fact that any POS system manufactured after the late 90's should have the capability to separate checks. That started the downward spiral. We were then informed that the food would come out of the kitchen as it was completed so as not to back up the kitchen; this is not an issue at all, however what was at issue was the timing and how it was managed. As this was a large party, our selections were quite diversified from Paella & Fajitas to one at our table having only the sizzling shrimp and the lime rice served together as her entrée. Side bar, we asked if the "Coliflor al Pastor" could be made without the onion, were told by the server that it is a pre-made dish and could not be customized. I am not sure if that is true but seemed odd, none-the-less, this became a hard pass. The first item out of the kitchen was the sizzling shrimp, followed by other entrées at the table sporadically and piecemealed; 25 minutes later, and having to ask (a second time) for the lime rice, was the last thing to hit our table. Two diners were done eating as the final two dishes were being served. I would have hoped that someone in the kitchen or even the server would have thought to calculate the timing and fire the Paella, Arroz con pollo and Fajita before they fired up the Shrimp and Roasted Carrots ... then forgetting to scoop out the side of Lime Rice and serving that last.We were never asked for more cocktails, which was a shame as I know that the real money comes from the bar-tab. I did ask for another margarita, but asked if there was an upgrade from the well version, I had upon arriving; our server said no, but there was a spicy margarita, that I decided to try. Admittedly, it did have more flavor than the first. Again, not asking for additional cocktails seems crazy, considering everyone was nursing the one that we had from the bar downstairs. Next issue, the clearing of the table; it didn't happen. One diner at our table referred to it as the graveyard of dishes and glasses, I guess because it was directly next to him, that would make sense. I would suggest that when a runner drops off a plate, that they pick up a couple of the dead ones or even have the server engaged to do so.Finally, as promised, we were left to our own accord to figure out our own checks, which in my opinion is the job of the host (restaurant, server, POS system) not mine.Ultimately, we most likely won't return, for some of us it was the cleanliness factor, for others it was the disregard for hospitality. Treating your guests as a commodity rather than guests changes the very DNA of a restaurant and the dining experience as a whole. I am not sure if our server was new and inexperienced, but some training on the finer points of dining might be in order, perhaps send him to dine at Redd, Edibles, Max's, Tony D's, pick one, perhaps that exposure may help him gain an understanding of hospitality and what it means to have guests; always keeping in mind that these people chose your establishment of all that our city has to offer to spend their money and

Had reservations made weeks in advanced, but still had to wait 1 hour to be seated. Food was decent, but some parts were not hot when they arrived to our table.
