We were very excited to have a banh mi place so close to our home! We love sea noodle and knew sea me go was going to be at least decent. We ordered pick up, the place is small and we weren't able to eat in that day. I got the bbq pork banh mi and my husband got the house banh mi. I really liked the texture of the bread. It was crispy and stayed pretty crispy during the takeout process. The inside of the bread was also nice and soft. I generally liked my bbq pork banh mi and wouldn't be unhappy if I ordered it again. The flavor though is a little muted for me. I don't know how to they marinate the meat but I would love more lemongrass flavor to emphasize the traditional Vietnamese flavors. I would have also loved more mayo and I wish the pickled veggies were more pickled. They were a bit lost amongst everything and to me that's a very important flavor component in banh mi. The house banh mi was a little disappointing. The pate flavor wasn't there and again the pickled veggies need more pickled flavor. I don't mind trying it again, the flavor ratio was just not there. We also ordered a random spring roll. This was very disappointing. We got fish sauce instead of the peanut sauce listed in the description which I guess is ok, but not our preference. There was very little flavor though and for $4.50, you mostly get lettuce and vermicelli. Very little meat. Overall the banh mi is pretty ok and the location is super convenient for us so we'll probably get it if we can catch them during their open hours!

Got two house banh-mis which were delicious. The total was a little over $17 but worth it as the sandwiches are filling (I took half of one home). They have a cute high top where you can sit and look at plants which is clever since the window faces the parking lot (plenty of parking). Would

Amazing bahn mi and the only bahn mi dedicated place in Rochester definitely doesn’t disappoint. If you want the original bahn mi with the patte and everything it’s the bbq bahn mi. Very sweet staff affordable definitely a place to check out.

went to SEA and was pleasantly surprised by the little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. the service was friendly and fast. cozy atmosphere. large menu. and the food was absolutely delicious! will definitely be back.

So I asked for an "original bun mi" the asian lady pointed to the "house bun mi" I did ASSUMED that it was the "original/authentic Vietnamese bun mi" You kno, with the patay spread on the bread, instead of mayo and capicola, instead of that chicken meat that they had on there. Needless to say I bought 2 because I was craving the authentic Vietnamese bun mi. So sorry but i will not be back since I realize now you are an asian/american fusion restaurant. I was so hungry and very disappointed. I like the other kind better. Thank you

I never knew this place existed until yesterday. I visit SEA once in a while for Pho and saw signs advertising bubble and bahn mi next door.I ordered their house bahn mi to-go. It was decent, but the bread, meat and veggie ratios were a little bit off. I like their bread, but it could be a tad bit crunchier. That's nitpicking though and maybe it got soggy in the bag (as I didn't eat it until hours later). I also thought the veggies could be a bit more pickled. It was missing the sour note that I am accustomed to in a bahn mi. On the good side, the portions are large. One bahn mi is almost the size of two in one. For $8 I would say it's a decent value and you won't leave hungry. Sandwiches are made to order and service is friendly. Overall a promising spot and I hope they do well!

Got the House and BBQ Chicken Bahn Mis. The house was tasty and the BBQ had very little meat.I recommend the House.If the BBQ gets more chicken it will make it a 5 star for me.

Love everything SEA. The house bahn mi was very good and the bread it is on is outstanding. My wife had the bar b que bahn mi which she loved.Simple little place with orders made fresh. I love Thai ice tea. The menu is very small only three choices but do you really need more.

This to-go offering from SEA right next to the existing restaurant in the old Genesee Bakery location has a limited menu of bubble tea, banh mi, mango rice and a few other options. There are four or five tables, definitely focused on takeout. The banh mi are offered in a few different options - chicken, pork, beef, etc. and are served on a large crusty roll with fresh pate, cilantro and other traditional ingredients. They are about twice the size of a traditional banh mi, which is a bargain for the price. Note at the time of this review they are cash only, and the exterior sign has not been changed.Nit picks - I found the extra large roll threw off the traditional balance of textures and flavors for me a little bit, and I was missing the pig ear head cheese crunch from the mix. The pork belly (I believe) and dark meat chicken were in chunks with a soy flavor, a bit different from what I am used to. Little different, but overall delicious, fresh and a great lunch option! Recommended.
