The food here is great. They got good sake as well. Unfortunately, I don't have any good experience here. The waitress just came to us and force us to pay more tips because tips just 1 dollar less than 18%. I don't mind to pay few more bucks but no by forcing me. First time in my life actually experience such toxic tip cultures.

We visited this restaurant right at opening time and initially chose to dine in but then decided to take our order to go. Surprisingly, this change seemed to upset the server significantly. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were abruptly asked to wait by the door instead of sitting at a table to wait for our takeout. When our order was ready, it was missing two salads and the miso soup we were supposed to receive. Upon asking for the missing items, we were grudgingly given only one salad without any apology, and the server’s attitude was noticeably poor throughout our visit. It felt as though the service suffered because we were not dining in, potentially affecting the tip. Overall, the experience was disappointing due to the unwelcoming service, despite the restaurant not being busy.

Finally ordered takeout, just a few simple rolls (hamachi and a couple spicy ones) and some Nigiri (sake and hamachi). It was wonderful. Very fresh fish. Rice was a great temperature. I’m so grateful this place exists. I wish they were open for lunch.Parking: Small in the back

Fantastic Sushi and a friendly staff. The sushi is great, the soup is delicious and even the salad dressing is incredibly tasty. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Authentic and small Japanese restaurant in Rochester. Had the tekka, hamachi, and kappa roll. All were really fresh and yummy. Also has good miso soup, curries, and ramen. Wasn't a huge fan of the seaweed salad. For dessert they have ice cream and tempura ice cream. The tempura batter around the ice cream was ok. I wish the had matcha ice cream with red bean inside and then tempura fried that. Overall good restaurant and good service.

This is my favorite sushi place. There are plenty of tasty dishes and appetizers for non fish lovers too. The atmosphere is bright and airy, though the space is small and intimate. The number of Japanese students who eat here give an indication of how authentic the food is. The fish is always fresh and delicious. The house saki, served hot, is the best in the area and affordable. One note, the actual sushi rolls are not the most exciting in town, but all the other dishes more than offset that. I suggest getting a few appetizers to share and some separate sushi to try. Excellent for an adventurous date or fun with a small group.
Food is excellent, specially the rolls. Ramen was very comforting. When you enter the restaurant, it feels like you’re in one of the small restaurants in Japan.

Simple, exquisitely prepared sushi. The fresh ingredients really shine. Better than a lot of sushi I even had in Japan. The interior is very clean though some of the furniture is a little worn out.
