Sesame chicken is the best on the East side of the city. Parking is tough!

Not good. Wongs has been our "go to" place for Chinese takeout for a couple of years now and has always been great, until tonight. First, the order was incorrect. No big deal, called and they happily fixed the order and gave us the corrected order when we came back again...but the food is completely different than what it has ever been, and not in a good way. The lo mein seasoning and vegetables were unrecognizable (mostly just broccoli with a few mushrooms, and carrot/cabbage shreds) and the food tastes so "salty" ( maybe MSG?) that it almost burns...very odd. Definitely nothing like it usually is...even the noodles are different. Overall extremely sad and disappointed because this is nothing I would ever order again. I'm guessing they must have new owners / management because this food is not even similar to what we have received in the past ? Again, people seemed nice, but food is just not good.

I used to be a frequent patron. I used to tell most people about these guys now I have to warn you. Ive noticed lately they've been overcharging, telling you one total price and typing in another. I get text messages of every transaction, this is 2024. The truly despicable part is they know me. I frequent weekly, they know what I order how I like it..everything. Now I will tell everyone to go to Chen Gardens because Chen's is truly are top notch. I submitted a complaint with consumer finance .gov 240105-12933939 ID no in case you want to check it out.

Food is always good. Wonton soup is one of the bests in Rochester! Quick and great family run restaurant!

This is a carry-out, so don't expect a sit-down-and-dine experience. The food is really, really, really good! Our household is vegetarian, and both the previous and current owners have adapted their dishes to our needs. The veg is just fresh as hell and everything is cooked to perfection (tender, a little crisp, **NEVER** overcooked). The flavors range from "suitable for an American palate" to "Schezuan so spicy I sweat," I just need to specify when I order. The prior and current owners are really thoughtful and kind: I think this may well be the best Chinese carry-out in Rochester.I'm really glad I'm a regular - they've done incredibly well by me.

I've been coming to Wong's for years. The food is standard Chinese-American fare; General Tso's Chicken, egg fried rice etc. The staff is friendly and the orders are ready fast. There's no seating it's a takeout restaurant. Very reasonable prices and generous portions.Parking: The parking lot fills up quick.

Above average, they seem to be busy so they’re turning food over.

Skip this place and go elsewhere for "typical" Chinese food. There has to be better, more traditional Chinese food around. The apps--BBQ Ribs and Fried Dumplings were very good. The Hot and Sour Soup was unusual. I've never had it with carrots and celery and without black mushrooms, a basic ingredient of this soup. It was a good soup only if you didn't think you were having Chinese Hot and Sour Soup. The Kung Pau Chicken was made with mixed vegetables, not authentic; the peanuts were merely sprinkled on top, not cooked in the wok as they should be; and, the chicken pieces were lightly breaded, deep fried and tasted very salty. Odd preparation! The Orange Beef was heavily breaded, deep-fried, greasy and gummy on-the-tongue with barely an orange taste. I ordered online and specified the soup Medium Hot, The Kung Pan Chicken and Orange Beef as Extra Hot, but none of the three requests made it into any of the dishes. Each had absolutely no spiciness! Why ask customers how spicy they'd like their dinner choices if you aren't going to honor what they specify??? The service was fast and personable but, typical-tasting authentic Chinese food it is not!

I often find this place as one of my go-to spots for a quick but fresh and delicious meal. I've ordered an assortment of dishes here, and they all are spot on. They used to have a small dine in but since covid its just a pick up and go. Definitely recommend as this is one of the better places to get Chinese food from.

This place is AWESOME. The sesame chicken is PERFECT. Not too sweet or too saucy. Still crunchy. Everything is always fresh and hot. And the price is just right. I will always be coming here any time I’m craving American-Chinese food.
