a few months ago, on the LIRR i had a conversation with a stranger and it came to light that i had never been to Dark Horse Tavern despite living here in RVC for several years. i have had the opportunity twice since then, to sit at the bar and enjoy a beer. both times that i went were early Saturday evenings, before 8pm. Came here last weekend with my friend after the bar across the street was dead. Extremely cozy and a great selection of drinks. They have speciality mixed drinks for the winter and I ended up getting three because they were so good. The music was a good selection and not too loud to the point you couldn't talk to people. Also, they had basketball on two TVs even with a soccer game being on. Bless them for that.

Great place to come and relax at the bar for happy hour! They have a lot of different types of beers and ciders on tap. Also, they have good seltzers and canned beverage selections like high noon, white claws, and nurtrls. The bartender was really nice and friendly. TVs were huge to watch sports. Will definitely be back to try their food soon!
