George Martin The Original is an amazing restaurant with exceptional food and service. Parking can be tough in Rockville Centre but George Martin has plenty of parking in the back. The bar is very large with plenty of seating...regulars often eat at the bar to chat with people around them and the wonderful bartenders. Reservations are recommended especially during busy hours. My husband and I started with two signature drinks...coconut Margarita and French martini. One better than the other. We shared a wedge salad which was split in the kitchen and chopped. Delicious! We both had steak, my favorite is Skirt steak, his filet mignon. Both cooked perfectly to our liking...dessert was pecan pie sundae... yummy... The service is the best around...especially the manager Suzanne who walks around making sure everyone is happy...can be a bit loud but the energy is contagious....love it there and so will you

The food...the service always spectacular here. Lunch special $25.00 salad and shrimp and asparagus with risotto....yummy!! Our waitress was wonderful attentive friendly and so efficient!!

We have been coming here since it opened 30+ years ago, and it is still the best restaurant around. It remains fresh and vibrant ( although a little too noisy when it's crowded), and the food and service is always top notch. It is always a special meal when we come to George Martin.

Greeted at the door with a smile. Seated immediately at a table in the very back which was what we asked for when we booked the reservation. John, our server, arrived with in a few minutes. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Drinks and food came out at the times they should have. Meals were terrific and the price was reasonable. Been going to George Martins since the beginning and have never been disappointed.
Went here for my birthday tonight. Feb 3. My fiancé both got the skirt steaks. Absolutely delicious like always. I wish I ordered 2...lol. Definitely will be coming back in the near future.

All around very enjoyable dining experience. Good quality food, well prepared and very flavorful. Service was well orchestrated and our server was very pleasant. Very nice bar as well. We'll be back soon.
Had the tuna appetizer.... Perfect If you have the chance try the Figuenza Vodka with gingerale and muddlednlime Main course was the pork chop with red cabbage, sweet potato casserole... perfect Finished it off with apple tart and vanilla ice cream. Almost forgot fresh warm popovers as a bread was undeniably a fresh idea rather than the same old warm bread. My first time was definitely impressionable and will fine here again. My waiter was friendly and attentive. 2 people with drinks apps entrees dessert $180
Service was incredibly slow. The server took 25 minutes to get a glass of wine and the restaurant wasn't full. The food was just ok. Salad was bland and the soup was watery. Not a great experience

George Martin the Original has a great steak special on Monday nights. The steak is very well made and comes with soup or salad, mashed potatoes and wispy onion rings. Everything is delicious. We also had an apple torte and salted caramel coffee. Wonderful.
