Customer service was basic. 1 server on so it was more of a rush than delivering quality service. The food was not good and reminds me of a low quality diner that can barely stay open. I am not from the area but I know there is much better options than this.

Food was ok the ny strip I had was cooked right but the quality of the meets was on the lower side of quality, and my wikes lobster was late to come out and did not appear to be cooked completely. Service was great otherwise.

We were in and out in under 45 minutes. The food was amazing, I had the prime rib that was cooked perfectly. My fiancé had the stuffed haddock and I’m not normally a big fan of fish but it was incredible. I also tried a martini that was delicious. Great experience.

The food took a little while, but in today's environment, no one has enough staff. So to be expected & not an issue. The important thing is the food was wonderful. Haddock was lightly breaded so you could taste the fish. Crunchy fries & nicely seasoned cole slaw. Friendly, family atmosphere.

I'd like to shout out to Josh from the Atrophy Escape Ward for suggesting this location. The service was on point, the prices were reasonable, the food was amazing, and you must try their cottage potatoes! They adhered to my allergy issues and the presentation of their food was on point. If I ever return to Rome, this officially will be the only place I eat at. Yes it was that good!

Came here as a kid so I wanted to like it so bad but the food just kinda sucked. Awesome service and love the atmosphere. Food needs a lot ofwork.
My wife and I had been trying to get to Coalyard Charlie's for quite a while and we finally made it. We arrived and were seated immediately. Our server came relatively quickly to take our drink order, and shortly thereafter to deliver them and take our meal order. My wife ordered a well done sirloin with mushrooms and onions with loaded baked potato and side salad. I ordered my favorite, a reuben, with sweet potato fries and side salad. The salads arrived in a flash and were solid: good sized with tasty ingredients that were fresh and crisp. The issues were with the entrees: her steak was beyond well done, her potato was missing butter and her steak was missing onions; my sweet potato fries were charred and the meat in my sandwich was unusually tough and stringy. While it was flavorful, the texture was a bit off. All in all, despite good, attentive, servers, it fell short of an excellent dining experience.

Homemade desserts big dishes I had the chicken parm my sister and brother in law the haddock huge portions! Waitress Karen was absolutely outstanding fast service get here earlier (4 pm) if you can! Definitely worth a visit!

My husband and I were excited to visit again as it's been years. Our server was lovely and our food was deelish. I had the chicken parmesan which was perfect and my husband enjoyed his N.Y. Strip. What bothered us was a woman yelling at some of her staff while we were eating. I can only hope that the staff are okay. I'm not sure if we will visit again.
