In 1970; my parents made the same decision countless others did; joining the great migration to the suburbs, determined to find a nice, safe place to settle and raise a family in one of the most highly-rated school districts in America. I'm an old lady now and I am so pleased to see that little has changed at All American, because...it was perfect. I have tears in my eyes looking at the photos and remembering the countless summer nights we'd scrounge for change in the couch cushions, Mom's purse, anywhere-- and it was always enough to get a hot delicious burger, fries, drink and even a grilled cheese or ar knish. We'd sit along the benches on the sides; happily stuffing our faces, completely unaware of just how lucky we were, or that this cherished icon would still stand half a century later; looking much as it did then-- even though we certainly don't! I know this treasure has received some well-deserved love from the show: Diner's, Drive-in's and Dives and that guy obviously has good taste! I was greeted by a friendly female cashier didn’t get her name but she helped me pick a sauce since it had over 25 flavors and I wanted to try them all lol. “Just tried this place out tonight. Ordered a mix shawarma, a chicken shawarma and falafel. I didn't expect much from this place, since it was dead and was 1 lady working in the whole place. I was so surprised, the food was so fresh and the shawarma was burrito size. The taste was really good, I only wish I ask for some hot sauce on the side. The falafel was very crispy. Falafel to me are usually dry as he'll, but they give you a super thick white sauce (like cream cheese consistency). Which made the falafel tasted very moist. I didn't take any pics of the food, because I wasn't expecting much. Going back tomorrow to try the chicken biryani, since they only sell that on sat & sun.“

It's a cute little place in my favorite mall ever (Broadway commons) which is amazing in its own regard, but the service is always super fast and consistent. My only gripe I've ever had is that the strawberry matcha boba tasted a bit like a scented candle if that makes sense? But it might've been the combo of the matcha and tapioca pearls, either way when I got a different drink I believe it was a fruit tea it was awesome.
