A surprisingly *excellent* find thanks to an on-the-go search of my Yelp app! I was stuck at a nearby hotel for the night (what a disaster... long story) and hadn't had much to eat after a long afternoon and evening full of travel delays. Fortunately, this outlet was still open relatively late, and upon venturing inside, I found a huuuuuge menu full of inexpensive options, whether burgers, ribs, fried seafood, or, yes, fried chicken in countless sizes and options. I chose the six-piece chicken tenders ($10.67) and was rewarded with a ginormous portion, as each tender was about the size of a cutlet in terms of both diameter and thickness. Each tender was also fried beautifully. A light, cutlet-style level of breading (instead of, say, an excessively chunky and brittle coating) and no hint of stale oil. Fresh, tasty, and all made to order. The gentleman at the front counter was also helpful in explaining other drink options when I discovered that their soda fountain didn't have diet Coke. So I picked up a couple of inexpensive bottles of water, which tided me over through the meal and for the rest of the night. Thanks Yelpers for a solid, local, independent find at the end of an absolutely horrible day when I needed it the most!

Chicken is OK. Nothing special. Portions are a bit small for the price. I'd come back in a pinch, but probably go somewhere else first.

I have gone to New York fried on liberty since before my daughter was born, she will be 23 on 4/4 . I loved it then and I love it now. They are always kind and professional. The food is always delicious and fresh. I will continue to get my chicken and Macaroni and cheese for all my gatherings they never disappoint.!!

I call this excellent place often because I like the special atmosphere that is part of this place. The staff is very loyal and experienced. The service is absolutely quick. Most important, the food you eat is great. I have been there more than once and I was always joyful. The pay is reasobable. I highly suggest this restaurant to all my friends.

If I could give this place a no star I would , I am never eating here again , don't trust a place that has halal food and ice cream which is clearly basking robins ice cream from the previous business that used to be here . Gross .

I have passed by this particular restaurant numerous times over the years .and today was my first time in this spot since back in the day when it was just NY fried chicken. Located right there on suptin blvd. The ambiance is small but the food is delicious. I ordered the macaroni and cheese with collard greens, candy yams 2 boxes of chicken with some dinner rolls. The chicken breast were really tasty, and when my wife tasted the macaroni and cheese along with the collard greens, she said it was definitely better then some soul food restaurants around town.i cant forget about how good there cheese burgers are nice flamed broiled. The staff there were very friendly and the atmosphere was mellow, not to many people out do to the whole coronavirus issue. But this restaurant is definitely a good soul food restaurant hands down,the only thing that wasn't really good were there French fries, they definitely could have been a little softer.
I told my friends about this place with my warmest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The dishes they serve are fantastic and the crew is attentive and cooperative. always when we go to this place we have a splendid time. warmly recommended.
