Wish we could give 1/2 Stars, REALLY SOLID place to eat! Accommodating and efficient service. Brunch for $28 provides a plethora of hearty, healthy options. We chose the BBQ Brisket and scrambled eggs with a Blood Orange Margarita (they use Don Julio Blanco.) We also had the Crabcake Burger, which is a pound of shellfish deliciousness with a Peach (Goya) Bellini ($7 J. Roget Champagne), which was a perfect combination. The Sirloin burger was topped with 2 slab-style bacon strips and Cheddar with crusted French fries, which adds more savoriness. You're started off with drop Sugar Biscuits, which are a bit dry but helped with whipped Cinnamon Butter and came the we had a side of the Strawberry spread that accompanies the regular biscuits. Another great time at Thyme!

White sangria was amazing and the baked Brie appetizer was wonderful. My mom enjoyed her grilled salmon, but my butternut squash ravioli was only ok. Would return on the basis of the sangria and Brie appetizer alone.

Visiting from Florida and staying with my brother-in-law in Mill neck and meeting friends from Forest Hills. Read the reviews and chose Thyme for dinner. A charming old house overlooking a lake. We ere fortunate to have Leonard as our server, superb, attentive and very personable. Surprising we all chose starters instead starters and entrees. My wife loves crab cakes so she selected the CRISPY JUMBO-LUMP CRAB CAKE, Jicama & Apple Slaw, Chipotle Aioli , excellent. I opted for the SEARED RARE TUNA ,Seaweed Salad, Avocado Wasabi Aioli, Pickled Cucumber, Plum Sweet Soy Emulsion and also the CRISPY CALAMARI, Baby Arugula, Red Onion, and Peach Chili Vinaigrette . Both were superb. We also shared a WARM BAKED BRIE WITH APPLES, Puff Pastry, Organic Greens, Red Seedless Grapes, and Raspberry Coulis, very good. For desserts, tough choice but we chose the Peanut Butter Crunch Cake, unreal and Flourless Chocolate Truffle with Vanilla Gelato. Can't wait to come back to New York and dine at Thyme.

Six of us had 6:30 dinner reservations this past Friday evening. We started off with ordering drinks and wanted to put an app order in and were told to "order both apps & dinner at the same time since we'll have a lot of people coming in on a Friday night"! That may be true but I am a paying customer, why am I being rushed?? We should have known this was the start of downhill service. I will preface saying the food was very good but the amount of mistakes and bad customer service will likely never bring me back to Thyme. I will list the mishaps that brought me to writing this review.. 1) One dinner special was ordered w/out mushrooms - delivered to the table w/mushrooms 2) ordered a Pinot Grigio - and received a pink high ball looking drink & waitress seemed annoyed when she was told she brought the wrong drink 3) extra olives were ordered for a martini - the waitress delivered limes! 4) a decaf cappuccino was ordered and a decaf espresso was delivered The waitress, who by the way never introduced herself did not come over once during the meal to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything, NOT ONCE! Maybe she had a terrible day but we didn't deserve that treatment. We also left her a tip beyond what she should have received (Some of us were divided in that decision) but we didn't want to end the dinner & our time with friends on a sour note. As we were leaving we spoke to the hostess to tell her of our experience and she said "we should have told her during the meal"! That was it for me.. I would have felt better if the hostess said , I'm sorry, I'll speak to the manager, how can I contact you, something other than me having to locate a hostess to tell her about your bad service!! I'm sorry that's not what I expect when I'm out to dinner with friends. It's a shame because the food was delicious...

We came here for a birthday brunch - reserved on Open Table with the stated reason for the reservation as "Birthday". We were promptly seated when we arrived. The hostess was warm and accommodating when we wanted to switch to a table that wasn't directly in the path of the split air conditioner. The brunch menu was a flat $28 with a few items that had an upcharge (included 1 drink). We ordered a couple of PEI mussels, sirloin burger, BBQ brisket and scrambled eggs, and a smoked salmon Benedict. The burger and Benedict were very good and delivered on our expectations. The BBQ brisket was okay but clearly not BBQ - no smoke ring or bark. The PEI mussels were good and broth was delicious but one dish had 3 unopened mussels (don't eat those). For $28, I expect dead mussels to be removed before it gets to us - it's shellfish 101. The service was efficient but no one asked us about the birthday. Not looking for a boisterous round of singing but a birthday muffin would have been cute.

I rarely leave poor reviews, but this one was well deserved from before I even was seated. You may want to note all the 1 and 2* ratings before thinking of coming here. Was given a very hard time about my table and finally sat at the bar with my companion. Owner/maitre d' was nasty and unaccommodating, but full of excuses. Had been here before but never again. My dish came out, but was not what I ordered and my companion finished his meal while I waited for mine to be redone. Overpriced brunch with no coffee or breakfast pastries. Leave a basket and don't give me one miniscule biscuit and no offer of more. Was promised toast with my ordered dish and when it finally arrived, there was no bread. Roslyn has many dining choices. If you enjoy attitude with your meal, this is the place for you! Oh and because we sat at the bar, I could not complete a review on Open Table as the nasty woman cancelled my reservation.

After driving by so many times, came here for dinner and sat outdoors. The staff was incredibly friendly, and WOW the food was phenomenal! The warm bread to start was delicious, and the baked Brie appetizer was completely out of this world. I had the cavatelli which was amazing, and the chicken kebab my friend ordered was equally as good. This is definitely one of those places on the fancier side without being stuffy, which was very much appreciated, and the food was up there with some of the best I've had. Will definitely definitely be back!!

Thyme is a great resturant. The location is great in Roslyn with the water view that adds to the experience. The menu has some unique dishes that I didn't expect. Like the duck tacos which were so good o forgot to take a picture. And the Brie and apple appetizer also wonderful. The lamb chops were done perfectly and both very different chicken dishes were perfectly cooked. The falafel bowl was interesting, good and very filling. A few things that bothered me. Not a big deal but if you're a fan of Charlie trotter's and have read his books you get it. For instance we had a great table in the corner with a nice view of the lake. And even with staff opening and closing the door it was a nice view. But the door is broken and has not been lit back together well. The jam is busted the knob plate is slanted and the window could use a cleaning. If you look around the resturant there are many of these little things that stand out as simple to fix things. Some of the posts across the apps complained about the hostess she was fine. Not sure why anyone has an issue. She's not overly friendly but we were greeted and seated promptly. Now for the service. Our waiter was great. Knew the menu well. Made some great recommendations and checked in regularly.

Rating based on Cost vs quality. Filet, lamb chops appetizers, all good but not any better than what I grill on my own or other less expensive restaurants. Service was good, nice and welcoming and didn't feel rushed.

Our baby shower was beautifully executed in Thyme's cozy upstairs room. The airy space has high ceilings and large windows overlooking the pond. The tables were beautifully set, the food artistically plated and everything was delicious. The waitstaff was perfectly attentive and very accommodating. Prior to the shower, working with the catering manager Pam was a pleasant experience. Her attention to detail ensured everything ran very smoothly. Thank you, Pam!

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Thyme last evening. There were 5 of us celebrating a Birthday and each meal was delicious. Tiffany our server was pleasant, professional and accommodating. Dining out has been infrequent during these difficult days, but as our comfort level rises we will be returning. You should to.

Beautiful interior view of the pond. Quick friendly service. Hubby and I came for lunch & each ordered burgers. Place quickly filled up after 1pm shortly after we arrived. There were only 2 waitstaff that were here. Our waiter got busy and forgot hubbys drink! Both of us enjoyed our Swiss Burgers and Sweet potato fries. Will come back to try more things on the menu.

Excellent service despite being incredibly busy on Thanksgiving. The turkey entree was surprisingly good, moist bird, excellent stuffing. The prime rib serving was huge! The Brussels sprouts and kale salad was a little one note, could have used another element to add texture.

A reservation was made and we arrived on time. The hostess said we would have to wait 20 minutes. After twenty minutes we were told our table upstairs was ready. When the reservation was made we were not advised of two level seating and one of the members of the party had extreme difficulty navigating the stairs, but we were told there was now no other option. Upon ordering we asked for separate checks for the diners, and we were refused. It is a new policy. Upon discussion it was revealed that the restaurant does not want to pay two credit card service charges. Further, it was impossible to have a conversation as the acoustics in the upstairs room are deplorable. We will not return. I will add that the wait staff was efficient and accommodating.
