Growing up, this place was one of the nicer restaurants in the area, would frequently go for mother's day. But took my wife for mother's day for the first time yesterday, and was saddened to see things have changed drastically. Service was slow and prickly - it took nearly 30 minutes to take our drink orders from when we were seated, despite being not terribly crowded for a mother's day. The appetizers were pretty good (caesar salad and fried cauliflower), but the mains were borderline inedible - some of the worst steak we've ever had, utterly flavorless, overly thick sirloin cut that was burnt on the outside but somehow undercooked on the inside (ordered medium). The brick chicken was edible but also very bland. The deserts were mediocre. We had to wave down our waiter to move the meal along at every stage.

We went for Mother’s Day Brunch. The only things we enjoyed (other than the wine) were the gratis croissants and muffins and the salad. The food and even the deserts were mediocre at best.

Had great expectations but disappointed. Greeted my an unfriendly staff. Seated upstairs where the decor is and atmosphere is remarkably bland. The chairs are designed for catering venues, not a restaurant. Service was mediocre and food lacked any flavor. The dessert was delicious. Will stick to the bakery for lunch as it always delivers consistency and quality.

We were running around all day and in need of a delicious early dinner we were lucky enough to get to Diane's early to score a table outside being it was very beautiful out and we couldn't have been happier we had the delicious Monk fish which was so delicious and cooked perfectly. We also had the Lobster gnocchi which also was very good. We totally enjoyed everything.

We sat upstairs which was lovely and quiet. The service was friendly and always available. The place is well decorated and lit, nothing too ostentatious but a very comfortable dining experience. The food was delish. My husband I both had fish dishes which were cooked well and seasoned lightly. The desserts were incredible and the stars of the evening. Overall great experience!

A true neighborhood gem. Jimmy makes everyone feel welcomed and special. Our table enjoyed a dinner of halibut & short ribs and they were both excellent. I definitely will be back this summer to enjoy their outdoor dining and delicious food.

Three out of four enjoyed very good food. The Pot Roast dish was ill conceived and not enjoyable at all. Over cooked piece of beef slathered in a tomato sauce that may have been more at home with a pasta dish.

Trattoria Diane's continues to deliver an excellent experience every time we go. The food is consistently delicious, the ambiance delightful and the service is warm and welcoming. We shared a tasty Caesar salad. My husband enjoyed every bite of his scallops over butternut squash risotto. I had been out to lunch so I ordered the zucchini blossoms as an entree. They remain the best I have ever had.

We had a fabulous dinner at Trattoria Diane's celebrating our daughter's 38th birthday. I had messaged Diane's via Open Table that this was a birthday celebration and received a reply from Jimmy saying he would take care of everything. We had a choice of a dining areas when we arrived and we selected a table in the corner on the quieter second floor. We had three appetizers: the figs, zucchini blossoms and frito misto. They were amazing. Our entrees included the short ribs (the best- no knife needed!!), lamb chops (for our 3 1/2 year old grandson - he loved them), pot roast and monkfish. Everything was outstanding. Diane's did a very nice job of bringing her dessert with candle to the table allowing us to sing Happy Birthday to our daughter. It was very special. For dessert we had the pecan pie, apple tart, panna cotta and the affogato (which was out of this world). All the desserts at Diane's are beyond delicious. After moving from Long Island years ago we returned to celebrate our daughter's birthday and we are glad we did. We definitely will be coming back again!

Nice variety of choices on the Valentine's Day menu and portions were as usual not reduced for a price fixed menu. We thoroughly enjoyed each course! Stuffed zucchini blossoms, mussels, pan seared scallops with butternut squash risotto, duck with cherry sauce and vegetables. The desserts are always special - fudge brownie with banana ice cream and the berry tart with vanilla ice cream. Even the bill was pleasant with heart shaped shortbread cookies favor! It was a very nice Valentine's Day for us. And as always service was very attentive!

We so enjoy dining at Diane's. We invited two friends, who gave never been here, telling them, his was the greatest restaurant with the most delicious meals. They came, they ate and they were smiling from ear to ear. They can't wait to come back. Service with the smile .

Nice ambiance, food was not great. Mussels with white wine were good, duck entree was terribly tough and under seasoned. Martini was fine, service also good
