I live at a retirement community, Ginger Cove in Annapolis MD, where Flix does all of the food service. On our menu there is a line saying “ Talk to the chef to have your food customized.” Sounds great, but it seems it is all for show. I have a very simple request. Namely I like my vegetables cooked al dente...firm to the bite. I have spoken to the chef about this and to the food service manager. My daughter goes to an upscale school that uses them & I can say they've ruined her love ofchicken breast! It's so dry, she can't even chew it she says. Now she refuses to eat it at home (no matter how good). The pasta is often dry & many times not even cooked. The parents are now getting together & all reporting the same things.
