The cakes here are just ok. The eclairs are old and disgusting, worse than frozen. And the service is the worst I've experienced. They literally yell and you and rush you, I couldn't even pick the cake I wanted they just put one in a box and rang me up. Hard to believe but it happened.

Wish I read the reviews before I stopped in. Our family had been customers at the former location for many years. This was my first time in the "new" store. I purchased 3 cupcakes and a quinoa salad. The older woman was abrupt & rude. After I paid my bill, there were 2 bags on the counter. I took the first one and reached for the second one, not realizing that it wasn't my order. The woman yelled and scowled at me as if I was intentionally trying to take someone's order! Cupcakes were dry & inedible. (I'm giving a 2 star review because the salad was good). I won't be returning or recommending to others.

Been coming here for over 15 years when they were on the main street. Consistently good food and great bakes goods, breakfasts and coffees. Service is always pleasant ? parking is close. 4 seats inside and some on the outside. Close to train station. Best thing is their delicious pastries and cakes.

The food is good. The service here specifically from the older Russian woman is horrible, she is rude and doesn’t ever crack a smile. She served me coffee in a broken cup and decided it would be ok to just put it in another cup, the coffee spilled all over. She didn’t fill the 6$ cup of orange juice all the way and tossed my credit card back at me. I come here so often for the delicious sandwiches but won’t be coming back due to the nasty service from this rude woman. The other ladies are very nice.

The muffins and scones are OK. The short haired Eastern European women is arrogant, rude and condescending to customers. Every request is met with much attitude. I have come here often but won’t be coming back due to the nasty service from her. The other ladies are very nice. I will go to Kneaded Bread down the road in Portchester where Fernando the manager and his staff are a pleasure.I find it odd that ownership has not responded to the reviews.

Wow, wow, wow! An amazing assortment of European-style pastries. I was very impressed and had a hard time deciding and will have to make more trips to sample more of them! Yum, yum!

It's such a shame how bad customer service destroys such a good thing. The rudeness of the elderly lady with the short brunette hair puts such a stain on this place. But this isn't the first time. She has a reputation for it (the reviews speak for themseEven after being a loyal customer for years, I can honestly say, its not worth the aggravation. And they're also very expensive.

I've lived in Rye for 7 years and have purchased from/eaten here numerous times. The pastries and foods are consistently good, but quite expensive. The service and attitudes of all the staff, however, have been consistently poor. I went in this morning asking for Hot Cross Buns. When I first asked for them, a guy behind the counter literally frowned, shook his head and just told me no. There was an older woman, possibly the owner, who looked at me and said "No, we don't have nothing like that" while scowling at me. She offered nothing like "We will have some later or this week". But she did start rattling off everything else they had. A customer overheard this, walked up to me and said "Just go to Kneaded Bread. They have them". Most assuredly, I will not be returning anytime soon.

Some of the pastries are 1-4 days old and if you dare to talk about this with the very rude woman behind the counter she will try to fry you alive. Also- if you’re white she will give you your credit card back in your hand, but if you’re a minority, she will throw it on the counter. Very racist bakery, an I’m not the first one to say this.

The “quiche Lorraine” is very disappointing. I was expecting actual quiche Lorraine - Swiss, ham, nutmeg - but this is something different. Ham, yes, but cheddar and tomato? Just call it what it is, not quiche Lorraine. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
