Staff was friendly and food was fantastic. Took my parents there for their 50th anniversary and it was a magical time. Thank you to the staff for making their day special.

My husband and I, along with another couple, ate at Voila the Bistro on Sat. evening 2/24. We had a wonderful dinner - great food, excellent service. We had a round table towards the back of the room - quiet. The highlight of the meal was the soufflé and I recommend leaving room for dessert. We'll definitely return to Voila sometime soon - I highly recommend going to this restaurant for a lovely night out!!

Dined here for a Saturday dinner. We had 6 pm reservations and didn't wait. Parking is a private lot and easy. Their patio area looked cute. I could imagine enjoying dining there in warmer weather. I called in advance to make sure they could accommodate my daughter's allergies. I think it was the chef I spoke to. He mentioned he had allergies too and assured me they could accommodate my kid. Her absolute favorite dish is duck breast. She had no issues with the dish and enjoyed it. They modified it slightly for her. They had gluten free bread but it still contained an allergen so she couldn't have it. It was very thoughtful of them to give her a side of potato crisps instead since she couldn't have the bread. I had the duck as is and enjoyed it as well. We liked how they cooked the duck to order because we like ours on the pinker side. My 6 year old had the filet mignon and fries. He inhaled it. My husband had the lamb chops, which was a special. For dessert, we had vanilla ice cream and a hazelnut soufflé. The kids had sorbet and strawberries. Voila was good for standard French food. I appreciate that they were so diligent about my daughter's allergies and she ate everything without any issues. My only complaint was that there were some lulls in service as our main meals were completed and then during dessert. So our meal felt like it dragged a little in the end.

Restaurants are always busy on Valentine's Day, but this year was busy as usual, but the service was excellent. The special menu for the day included lobster bisque, crab cakes, salmon, etc., and everything we ordered was excellent. We always enjoy our visits to Voila - like a little corner of France in Saint James.

Quite a good meal, and my friend enjoyed their soufflé but their creme brûlée was small, over cooked (the eggs cooked unevenly so it wasn't smooth like it's supposed to be. It's very hard to make I understand, but they're supposed to be pros) and I really didn't care for the bread pudding. I ended up not eating it. I lived in NOLA too long to eat bread pudding that isn't fabulous. But it might be a personal taste thing. I don't think chocolate goes on bread pudding either so that was a surprise I wasn't thrilled with and the chocolate was a bit bitter for my preference as well. To be fair, my friend had the beef bourguignon and it was quite good as was the prix fix pork medallions and the escargot en croute appetiser that I had. I would definitely have them again but would have dessert elsewhere. I got the French Connection cocktail and it was a bit too sweet for me, but again, this could be a preference thing. Two drinks each came out more than the food portion of our meal so keep an eye on how much your drinking if you are not sure if you have enough cash or room on your card. They do take credit cards but some of us love a bit too close to our limits, yeah I mean me. As critical as I am of their desserts, the meal was good as was the service, just have dessert somewhere else or have the soufflé if you like chocolate sauce which I'm not a huge fan of, but my friend enjoyed it and that is what matters. Desserts are notoriously harder than they look so it might just have been an off night and pastry cheffing is truly an art so make up your own mind.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times. The food is exceptional. French cuisine is one of our favorites and it is so nice to have this restaurant nearby. The service is always spot on and where else can you get freshly made Souffle for dessert!. The restaurant should be booked solid as a hidden gem. The location does not match the fine dining experience. Saint James has a winner here.

My husband, myself, and another couple went here this past Saturday night. We wanted to go somewhere we have not previously dined at. I can't compliment the food and the service enough. We had a beet salad and also a buratta special appetizer. For dinner I had the scallops, my husband had the Bronzino special, and our friends had the roasted chicken and pork medallions. One meal was better than the next. We actually sat and discussed what each flavor/seasoning/spice was. The staff was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We look forward to going back.

Small portions, but not bad. Duck was amazing. Chicken had no flavor. Filet Mignon was dry and chewy...

And now for something completely different. A French restaurant on Long Island. A great restaurant with authentic French accent coming out from the kitchen. Fresh pleasantly presented dishes to a laid back appreciative clientele. Short ribs, beet salad and excellent service make me look forward to my next visit here. Easy parking. Reservations suggested.

Food is very good and reasonably priced. Not usually a fan of French food but this place was delicious

A true dining experience with gluten free options. My wife and two daughters had a wonderful experience at Voila last night. As always, the food and service were beyond outstanding! My wife and I have gone there a number of times and have always been impressed. After having dinner there last night, now our two daughters have become raving fans of this hidden gem of a restaurant. The owner goes out of his way to make the entire dining experience perfect. My wife needs her food gluten free and he shows more care and willingness to accommodate that need than any restaurant to which we have ever been. At many other restaurants we encounter staff that are unsure on gluten free options and/or a very limited section of the menu. However, at Voila, the owner comes to the table himself and literally offers to modify just about anything on the menu to make it work for a gluten free dietary need. Beyond the outstanding food, the staff is incredibly nice and efficient. All this, coupled with a relaxed atmosphere, really lets you take the time to enjoy the whole experience of dinning at this wonderful restaurant. Each time we go, we can’t help but notice the feeling that the owner truly seems happy to see people enjoying his restaurant. The pride is evident, and it shows up in everything you experience and taste at this incredible place. I’ve never written a review of a restaurant before and it speaks volumes that after dinning at Voila last night, I felt the need to write this review.Tom Sullivan
