“Don’t look for nouvelle cousine or artisan concoctions here. This is old line Saranac Lake. Noah Trudeau could walk in and recognize the place. The food is hearty and portions for a lumberjack. Prime rib and onion soup are its stock-in-trade but seafood items done with the same care. Leave room for lemon cake; it’s a keeper. Also wine by the glass reasonably priced, tasty, and large. The vibe is friendly. You’re as likely to sit next to a road crew on payday or a golden aged great camp owner. Red Fox is solid, not stodgy and the white table cloths are changed after every sitting“

“It's a nice mix of upscale casual with an Adirondack feel. The wait staff was on time from filling the water glasses through the rest of our meal experience and friendly as well. The shrimp scampi came with huge shrimp that were tender and full of flavor. The piece of lasagna was also large and very tasty with each ingredient complimenting the other. We definitely enjoyed finding this place.“

“First time in Saranac Lake and I went there to view the 2024 total solar eclipse. I'm from Long Island, family and wife grew up in NYC, I know good pizza. Let me tell you that I was blown away by the true NYC quality slice I had. It rivals the likes of Joe's pizza in the village and flat out beats most Long Island pizzerias. The thin slice cheese was not too thin, crispy with no flop (but not burnt by any means), and perfect ratio or sauce, cheese, oil. 6 hours north of Long Island I assumed any pizza joint would be garbage in comparison, but I was pleasantly surprised!Don't change anything! Next time I am back I will 100% be getting another pie!“
