Maris is not what it use to be ! Went there for lunch a week ago and was sooo disappointed!!! The food was uneventful and the waitress didn't know how to say you're welcome. Instead she kept saying 'no problem ' ! Maris was one of my favorite restaurants but not anymore. I'll never go back !!!!!

Absolute worst Japanese food I have ever had. I ordered 3 chicken Teriyaki meals all the sauce leaked into the plastic bags and the chicken had ZERO flavor. The rice was mushy. Shrimp didn’t look clean and the miso soup smelled off putting. Definitely not a place you wanna spend $100 and get messy garbage for food. Service was great but food was a horror experience. I wish I had pictures…..I might go back just to get a picture of the madness they called food. If I could rate them I’d give them half star for the service.

Pork katsu lunch box is not bad. Sushi sashimi box and seafood tempura box are disappointing. Portion is small. Seafood tempura has several pieces of vegetable tempura.

The sushi size is smaller than other places in the area with the quality being at the same level.

This place has been around forever ..and for a good reason , despite its unassuming appearance and location the food is fantastic. Whether dining in or getting take out I highly recommend it .

Calm setting and great service! Our favorite family restaurant!

My FAVORITE restaurant!!! So gooood. The location doesn't reflect how GOOD the food is but i would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND going here. My family and I have been going here for years. Prices are totally reasonable and DELICIOUS. The woman that works here is the sweetest and the survice is so fast. I'm greeted with a smile and such an amazing atmosphere every single time. Their gyoza and miso soup is to die for. Any sushi on the menu is extraordinary.

A lunch menu full of kitchen cooked items should have lead me elsewhere. I didn't take the clue that maybe sushi wasn't their specialty. The fish in my maki was room temperature, making me wonder if during the quiet time I visited this place the fish was being stored properly. The rice surrounding the roll felt and tasted like overcooked steamed rice, not proper sushi rice. The overall flavors of a very standard roll also fell flat. My soup was luke warm, and in a handroll I found an unpleasant surprise of all the wasabi (they likely intended to use to keep the fish in place in the roll) was in a ball toward the bottom.

Good service, good food.

Had some really good tofu teriyaki here. My brother has some sushi at the chef's recommendation and really enjoyed it.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options on the menu for me. Maybe not in the sushi department but overall yes.

A cute little place with very good quality food. The tempura was crisp and delicious with fresh seasonal ingredients. My only criticism is that there were very limited drink and dessert options (there was no tea and only basic ice cream and mousse were available for dessert)
