If I could give 0 stars I would. I walked in hoping to come to a warm welcoming bakery experience, especially since there were so many good reviews on this place and really there are only a few bakeries in this area. The bakery has its attractive appearance with neatly placed desserts on display (average), great art decor, details and menu beautifully displayed when you walk in. A lady came out looked at me and proceeded to put away some dessert bars and asked me a couple min later if I needed help, I proceeded to ask questions on the variety of desserts, if she had cupcakes with cream cheese toppings, as those are my favorite, and as soon as I asked those two questions she gave me cold one word responses with a facial expression resembling to someone with flat affect. Immediately I lost interest at the dessert display. No display of any customer service, friendliness or even respect for human interaction at this encounter. I guess I'll head over to McDonald's LOL JK I'll just bake at home

I am a Pastry Chef and went to Culinary Institute Of America however I wasn't baking on my birthday and can't bake at my home right now due to personal circumstances so I decided to buy a variety of cupcakes instead of a cake so i went to Whiskey Business because it's one of two Gluten-free Bakeries in the area and i was told about it by a friend of mine who knows the owner and does alot of business with her and Sandye I do alot of business with too she and has been my friend for the past two years and on my birthday October 3rd i went into Sandye's Cafe & Cakes Bought some regular Cupcakes then went to get some cupcakes that were Gluten Free from Brianna the owner Of whiskey Business who was very Rude after i left her store, I learned from someone that's she started complaining to other bakers in the area that I posted on my FB page that I made the cupcakes I purchased and she obviously had a misunderstanding about how the post was on my page when I said "My Cupcakes" not meaning I made them, as you see in the picture I had Sandye's cupckaes mixed in with whiskey business cupcakes but she went with her assumption and was dramatic on the situation calling it Fraud etc. With her friend Sarah how professional is that.......anyways to make a long story short she complained I cleaned out her display case etc. Well obviously you don't take pride that much in what you make if you complain about people cleaning out your case buying items! I will No longer do business with this bakery because of her Screenshot drama on social media and writing back and forth to each other and looking at people's social media accounts is not Professional at all nor is good Customer Service Skills! I will further my business with Sandye's Cafe & Cakes and if you want Good Gluten Desserts I Highly Recommend Different Blend Bakery on Carmen Road over Whiskey Business on Union Street because their Cupcakes were not good anyways and dry and it's no where near as good as Different Blend Bakery!On Carmen Road!* It sad being a owner of Whiskey business and calling people around Schenectady complaining that I gave you a terrible review, too bad Maybe you should of been a little more professional and not complained too much, the review board is there for a reason for people to base their opinions,complaints etc. If you can't handle that then your in the wrong field as a business owner, If you want better quality French Macrons or desserts and Not Dry Cupcakes I suggest you go see Sandye's Cafe & Cakes and Different Blend Bakery because I know they won't complain if you buy out there entire display case or if someone gave them a bad review!

My custom cake came out fantastic! The owner, Bri, was super responsive and great with incorporating everything I wanted in the cake, even the long quote I wanted piped on the top. The cake looked amazing and was delicious!! I would highly recommend this bakery for custom cakes.

Drove by the bakery and it was super cute and grabbed my attention. The lady at the front was so sweet. I purchased a gluten free cupcake. This was one of the best cupcakes i've ever had! Will definitely be visiting again!!!

Bri was truly one of my absolute favorite vendors to work with! It was so fun and collaborative. I shared our design board and some inspiration photos we had for our wedding, and Bri took it from there! Everything was beautiful, just so cute and all of her desserts are absolutely fantastic! Bri was so good about helping with numbers and figuring out what we needed, which was perfect. She also gave was super clear instructions for what needed to be refrigerated/what we needed to do to make sure the desserts were perfect by serving time.A few flavor shoutouts are necessary! First, Bri made us a custom fruity pebbles macaron flavor which was amazing and so fun, we love breakfast and wanted something to match that. The crème brûlée macaron is a MUST! The salted caramel cake and frosting is just wow. And a surprise combo for us, brown butter cake and creamsicle frosting is so tasty, we highly recommend!

I don’t live far from this bakery but I have never stopped there until recently because they don’t open until 10 am which normally doesn’t work for me. I picked up 12 cupcakes to take to a bday party and I have to say, I was not impressed at all. Although they were nicely decorated with frosting, I found it dry and had very little flavor, and frankly so did others who tried them. I will go back to try the macarons because I’ve heard from multiple people that they are outstanding. Once I try the macarons, I will be back with hopefully a better review.

Sweet place, finally stopped in for the first time, picked up cupcakes for a party ($25.00 for 12). Beautiful presentation, I expected them to be outstanding, worse tasting cupcakes I've had in a long time, they were dry and barely had any flavor, a few other party-goers agreed. I heard the macarons are outstanding but haven't tried them yet, but I will. From reading other reviews, maybe they need to give up on the cupcakes or find a new recipe!

An amazing bakery with the most kind and accommodating staff. I’ve been a customer for years and am never disappointed. Brie made me a custom macaron tower for my store grand opening and it was a huge hit. Her macaron ice cream sandwiches are out of this world. They are a one woman bakery so don’t walk in expecting a ton of premade cakes like at the grocery store. She’s an artist and will create something gorgeous for you if you just plan ahead a little ?
cupcakes and meringue kisses were delicious! definitely recommend going there for your sweets! i still have to try the macarons but they looked delicious and well made! five stars!

The lemon bar was awful, it was weirdly dry and somehow crunchy. The service was also not very nice and made me feel like I had come in at an inconvenient time possibly.

Bri's macarons are the best ever! I have tried them from other places and they don't compare. Even the ones I had from a French baker in Canada don't hold a candle to hers. And her other baked treats are delicious, too!
