Do not recommend this establishment if you are black or a person of color. My family and I decided to go somewhere new. Only ordered one beer at this time. The owner was cleaning the tables and dropped off a baby's bottle. A patron was carving on a table while he was talking to them. That propels my uncle (white) to do the same "on the already curved/ tagged table." Then passed it over to me to do the same. I didn't even get a chance to. The owner stated you can not write on it. (Please note: If the table wasn't already curved and it wasn't perceived as welcoming to do so, I would never attempt it.) So my aunt went up to him and asked why u didn't say anything to the people who were doing it in your face or my husband. He stated, "It's my shop." It was indeed, so we left. Note to the owner: Allowing certain groups to do something in your "shop" while excluding others can create a sense of division and unfairness. Every customer should be treated with respect and given equal opportunities to enjoy the offerings of your establishment. If it's not the offerings of your establishment, update your tables and note this. That being said, dine at your own risk.

My GF, my self and the family were here today, and while we were awaiting our order to come out, we noticed that people there were carving their names into the tables, which seemed like a common thing at this establishment - anyways, my girlfriend's, aunts husband (Caucasian) started joining in carving his name into the table, along with other customers - however when my GF (Black) went to do it as well, the alleged "owner" stopped what he was doing to come to her and say "you can't do that" but when confronted on why he didn't say anything to her aunts husband and the other people doing the same thing in his face, he said "this is my shop" so we all left and walked out right after that, so if you're a minority, please be aware of this.

The bouncer approach, my friend and I to tell us to leave. When ask what we did? he replied with 'you know what you did'. Then the one black bartender that they have stated that it was last call anyway and we had to go. The one heavyset bouncer acting he did me a favor by allowing me to even be in there. My friend couldn't even finish his drink. ? they targeted my friend and I was guilty by association just despicable and noone should be treated like that. I have a video of the whole encounter. You need better ppl working at your establishment.

We went with friends on 12/13, a Wednesday evening and there was a 2 player accordion band, playing mostly German music. Nice for a weeknight! The servers were fast and friendly, the food was good and of course German beer!

The wife and I were out holiday shopping and I talked her into a beer. Pro tip guys Biergarten has giant liter beers so when you tell her "just one" this is definitely the place lol. So a lot has changed here. But they still have some good traditional German beers and they still have the peanuts too. They had soccer playing on the TVs and yes the shuffle boards and dart boards are all still there. The bartender was a nice guy too. He was a bit young and seemed like he may have been new to the bar business but he was able to create small talk with everyone. Good place. Good atmosphere. They had food although we didn't have any. Place was clean. And they had huge traditional German beers. I'll be going back.

Worst bar service and event oversight ever experienced. We went to this bar for a wedding after-party. Several large groups of our wedding party was let in by the bouncer and we were there for over an hour before another wedding party showed up and we were kicked out. This was ridiculous because not only did the bouncer let us in when we gave the last names of the bride and groom for OUR wedding party, they had every opportunity to tell us to leave and find a different bar for at least an hour instead of kicking us out in a rush.The bartender was also extremely rude and unprofessional (large bald man). Before it was busy, several of us had ordered at different times and had the same experience with this bartender going off and chatting or doing something else after getting our order. When we wanted to close out the tab of the bride and groom for our wedding party after being abruptly kicked out, they refused saying they were too busy serving the wedding party that was kicking us out.While I understand that the other wedding party reserved the bar ahead of time and did not want outsiders in, the bar service and the complete oversight of the bouncer/bar to check if people were from the correct wedding party made this the worst experience. It was a shame this location was a complete flop as we had a bachelorette party in the Albany location of this bar and had a phenomenal time.

We are not from the area and remembered this place the last time we were in town. Showed up today, bathrooms were dirty and flies everywhere and there was no food service. Just the bar was open. The bartender was friendly.Definitely not the place we remembered or told our friends about.
