“I have been going to J & T's Cafe for many years. The food and service is always consistently good. What really takes it over the top are the freshly homade soups, which there is 6 or more varieties. Everything is prepared fresh everyday, and the best home cooked food around. The clientele that frequent this establishment are also very pleasant, which also is an indication of their satisfaction with this establishment. For those few disgruntled customers, take your frustration out on your wives or significant other. John and the crew at J & T's are aces.“

“If I could have manifested a perfect bar/bookstore combo this would have been it. They have delicious food, friendly and attentive service, and a perfectly curated collection of books and gifts. Their cocktails are delicious. It’s a very fun place for a quick after work bite and drink. I’m so jealous it’s in Schenectady, if it was closed to my house I’d basically live there.“

“Gorgeous little gem of a store. Their employees are incredibly nice and friendly, and the yuzu egg tart in particular is a creamy delight. I'd love to try the chocolate one if I can ever get there in time, because they rightfully sell out of tarts quickly.“

He worked out the entire time with my husband and I and kept the enthusiasm alive the whole time! “This is my absolute favorite Cafe in Altamont now!! The food raises the bar, it was fantastic! We were very delighted with our meals! They must have a chef on board, cause the dishes were made with PERFECTION! The homemade corn beef hash was perfectly made! The eggs were made picture perfect, the chicken and waffle was not only culinary calendar picture but backed it up in taste and texture. The Chef and crew don't just do their best, they put their heart and soul into EVERY DISH THAT LEAVES THE KITCHEN! This place is a hidden gem ! I am so glad to have found this place! Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Altamont or near by it's WORTH THE TRIP!“

“Such a great coffee shop! Got a double shot latte and a "jalapeno popper" bagel (Plain bagel with a jalapeno cream cheese spread).The coffee was amazing and so was the bagel! Highly recommended. Also, the aesthetic of that shop is very trendy and modern. When we went the place was hoppin'. Very friendly staff. They have a large variety of home made pastries and other snacks.Additional Tip: they have limited parking right next to the shop (3 parallel parking spot with a 15 minute line) but then tons of parking in the back! Enjoy!!!“

“Love this place. The family who runs it does an amazing job and the food is literally ALWAYS great and I’ve been there like 10 times. It’s cute and quaint, but most importantly CLEAN. They also have creative and various options for both breakfast and lunch. My favorite breakfast spot by far!!!!“

“First timer visit on a family members recommendation. Four star food and service so that is impressive. Five stars for the gal who greeted and seated our seven member party. She was super nice beyond what you can reasonablly expect these days. The french toast was good. The italian toast, bacon and egss were also solid. The standout was the potatos served with the eggs. Cooked to perfection and tasty to boot. Everyone enjoyed the food. The coffee was just okay but it was hot. My only objection was that the place had a smell to it that indicated it might not be regularly cleaned. My wife noticed it as well. Still, in an era where a good breakfast place is increasingly hard to find we overlooked this and the greeter and the food made up for it. Check it out for yourself.“

We hope this small business is supported and stays with us for a long time, they deserve it. We popped in this morning for some bagels and coffee. As expected the bagels and fresh cream cheese were absolutely delicious and they had a great variety. One of my biggest flaws is how picky I am about coffee so typically I don’t even attempt to order it when we go out, but today I tried their banana nut latte. Seriously, it was the best coffee I’ve ever ordered! I can’t shut up about it and I can’t wait to to get another tomorrow morning.
