“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“

“Amazing place! Came here a few months ago since we had a gift card. The bread was absolutely wonderful. Very fluffy with a lovely crisp crust. We ate more bread than we usually would but it was just so good. Drinks were nice. For our meals, we had chicken with waffles and a beet walnut salad. The brussel sprouts were also tasty. There were enough for leftovers. It's an expensive place but service and ambience were stellar. Their team clearly cares a lot about their restaurant and hospitality. “After an hiatus, we returned to this gem of a restaurant with friends. The Kitchen prepares and plates artistry. As it's name indicates, the menu changes with the seasons and adds market available 'specials'. Service was friendly, professional and helpful. The wine list was carefully crafted. It was not a phone book with prices that match the digits of a phone number. There are a reasonable variety good wines to complement the food that does not cost the price of your first house. Season offers value, coupled with carefully prepared, delicious food, artfully presented and professionally served.“

“The food is good, even slightly creative. It's a pretty diverse menu, so there's something for everyone. I have two issues, one is a constant: they make a bad drink, I know things are expensive right now, but make me a good non metered drink, it's not like you're not charging me a lot for it. The other was hopefully a one off, the waiter didn't speak English well and my friend asked him a question which he said yes to and when he was served it was completely different, when my friend was like "what's up" the guy mumbled and politely shrugged. That being said I do like this place.“

“I've ordered here a few times and the food and service is consistent. The burgers are great tasting. They have a retro vibe and that's pretty cool for downtown Harrison. The price of the food is really reasonable and the staff were nice each visit I made. Though I ordered take out the last two times I still left a tip because of the service. Will be back soon! The parking here can be a little tough but there is a municipal parking lot about 3 short blocks away and you can also take public transportation there, it is about a block away from the Bayside Long Island Railroad station. Try their steak its my favorite, but I also recommend the octopus, and their fish is always fresh and delicious, but you really can't go wrong with anything you get here. This place is always super clean, the service is always great and they pour a great drink. Now, this is an edited review from my original because i just had to mention Arif, who is the general manager. When you meet Arif you will understand why this place is so great. The guy makes you feel like family and makes sure you have a top-notch experience. Well done, Arif. What else can you ask for! We visited it on a Friday evening around 5 o’clock and were surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty, with only one other table occupied by a birthday celebration. The restaurant’s location at the crossroads of Merrick Avenue and Old Country Road made it easy to access, with plenty of parking available.Despite its small size, FandoQ had a cozy and neat atmosphere, decorated with beautiful ethnic paintings on the walls. The manager was exceptionally pleasant and attentive to our needs throughout the evening.For our appetisers, I ordered the Samosa, a fried pastry filled with vegetables and chickpeas, while my friend enjoyed the lentil soup and spinach pie. The portions were generous, so my friend decided to skip the main course, while I savoured the Adana kebab, which was a flavourful and perfectly grilled ground lamb dish served with fluffy white rice.To accompany our meal, my friend opted for Chianti, while I chose a refreshing pomegranate martini. “The owner of this restaurant, Victor, is the main star here. I have never met a restaurant owner that has shown such incredible hospitality like Victor has. He is incredible and the main reason we will always come back. The food is outstanding as well. The shrimp enchiladas are my go to every time. The shrimp is always cooked perfectly and cut into small pieces which I love. The sauce on the enchiladas is so flavorful and delicious that I dip my chips in it as well. My boyfriend loves the burrito! He gets it every time as well. The restaurant is cozy and has a rei Mexican authentic feel to it. “My grandma and I always go here and get pad Thai with mock duck. The food is heavenly! Anything good you could say about the food is true! The duck is crispy on the outside and buttery melt-in-your-mouth on the inside, and the flavor of the sauce is just incredible! The glass noodles are light and have a perfect texture. The regular noodles are filling and also perfect. Oh- and the peanut sauce that comes with the salad is the best peanut sauce you could ever imagine! It’s so addicting, and has a tad kick to it (I think you can only get that at lunch though). My grandma and I only ate there in person a couple times, but the service was great, considering how crowded the restaurant always is (I think the fact that it’s always stuffed to the brim is a sign of a good restaurant :). They had good vibes and a really chill aesthetic. We always get the food delivered, and it comes in a really short amount of time. My grandma also loves this food; we get food that’s not spicy, because we are both sensitive to spice (but if you like spice, they have dishes with that too). I wanted to think of something I didn’t like here, but I can’t! All in all, eat here!! (Also, hack for more duck; when asking for extra mock duck, ask for it in a separate container; that way you can see just how much you’re getting, and they can’t skimp! The logic behind this is when there’s an already full container full of food, you can’t add that much more duck; so when you have a separate container, they can fill it all the way up!)“
